Message from TV:
These are strange times without gigs...
I've tried to make up for it a little by recording some live performances in my home studio for you.
Hope you enjoy these ten songs I've chosen...all for free and available now.
Please consider joining my YouTube channel and I'll see if I can record some more as the lockdown continues!
This time it looks like it will really happen...one of TV's favourite venues, the Steamboat Tavern in Ipswich is going to host two socially-distanced seated gigs in their beer garden on the weekend of 5th and 6th September. Details of how to obtain tickets in the gig list!
TV's 1994 album "Immortal Rich" has just been re-released on CD by Easy Action Records and is available in the online shop here. This new version includes as bonus tracks the "Thin Green Line" EP that TV recorded with Tom Robinson, and the track "Eurodisneyland Tomorrow" which was previously only available as the B-side of "We Want The Road."
Still no gigs...but I've now uploaded the video session I recorded for the online Rebellion Festival this year to my YouTube channel as individual songs. I hope to keep adding to the songs on YouTube so please subscribe to the channel to get notified of what's new there! https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2s63T1NH3GtdKbULX5pXtg/videos
Very disappointed to have to report that due to the change in the laws on indoor gigs announced on Friday - with just 24 hours notice - the gigs at the Waterloo Music Bar planned for this week have had to be cancelled. Everyone tried really hard to get the event switched to an outside location but sadly it just wasn't possible to do it in time. Full refunds to everyone who bought tickets of course. https://www.waterloomusicbar.com
The wait for a gig is finally over! The Waterloo Music Bar in Blackpool has been granted permission to stage four nights of gigs over the period when Rebellion was due to take place, with TV playing on the Thursday and Saturday, and Arturo Bassick on the Friday and Sunday. These will be seated table service gigs following the current guidelines and strictly limited to 70 people per night, advance tickets only. https://www.waterloomusicbar.com
To make up for cancellation of this year's Rebellion, there's going to be an online festival instead, with over 25 hours of videos over the four days when the actual festival would have taken place. TV has filmed a new collection of acoustic songs for the occasion and his performance will be shown at 10:00pm on Sunday 9th August exclusively on the Rebellion Facebook page - where you can also find more details about the whole event now https://www.facebook.com/RebellionPunkMuskFestival/
Some light at the end of the gig tunnel at last - TV's tour with The Professionals and Stiff Little Fingers has now been definitively rescheduled for March 2021, by which time we are all hoping it can actually take place... All dates now in the gig list.
The gig calendar has been decimated by the Coronavirus outbreak. I'll try to keep this page updated with all the latest cancellations but please check with venues before travelliing in case of last minute changes.
