Ship In A Bottle

I've grown a garden full of poisonous plants
Other people make friends, I can't
Faced with the housework, I go weak

I'm like a scarecrow in a field of dust
I sit around and watch the washing machine rust
Light as paper, I blow around in the breeze
Sailing on a ship in a bottle
Over stormy seas

Light as paper I blow around in the breeze
Sailing on a ship in a bottle
Over stormy seas

So what if my teenage clothes
Will never again fit?
So what if I'm getting older?
I don't want to think about it

Good Morning Britain while I fix my grin
Lay out my future on the head of a pin
Do something exciting to the deep-freeze

Queen of the cupboard with a cardboard crown
There could be trouble if I knuckled down
But when things get rough I will always be
Sailing on a ship in a bottle
Over stormy seas
