Waiting for my copy to arrive I realised that the entire album can be heard on YouTube.

Now, do I wait one day to hear it or....sod it...here I go.

Long Ryders back next year:

Not a lot of detail is there.
I'd love a UK date or two.

12 musicians you didn't know had written famous TV themes:

No, not that TV!

And for British TV fans did you know that Peter (Doctor Who) Davison wrote and sang the theme for 'Button Moon'?
That'll mean nothing to Uli. :)

TV Live / Re: TV Gigs 2018

Couldn't make the Unicorn gig last night  :(

My vertigo, which seems to be connected to the (hopefully) temporary deafness I'm experiencing in my left ear, makes me fall over rather too easily: not good when travelling.

Bugger!  >:(

I also couldn't make it 'cause of transport problems. :(

I hope TV's got some copies on 8th September although it's before the official release.

Went to Amazon (Germany) but in order to log on I have to put in a number code that they phone through.

Unfortunately I forgot the numbers would also be in German and I didn't have enough time to translate them in my head. :)

My own fault for being impatient.

Some of the tracks from the 'Abracadabra' soundtrack were included on 'Ready To Crack' but, as Alan Lee Shaw was on bass for the OST but Nico Mansy is credited on 'Ready To Crack', I don't think they were recorded at the same sessions.

Well, I had a look at (and a listen to) my cd, in the booklet Alan Lee Shaw is mentioned for playing bass on #5, 6 and 7.

Yes. The tracks that were on 'Abracadabra'.

I'm pretty sure 'My Wrists Hurt' with Dave Grunfeld on keyboards goes back a bit further than that. Like about 1979......

Time to start the campaign to get TV Smith on the cover of 'Vive Le Rock' and make his face familiar to millions of TESCO magazine readers.....

 ;)

I may add a #16: Miller produced (Brian James' band) The Dripping Lips' album "Ready to crack?" (released in 1998, recorded a few years earlier).  8)

I believe most of it was recorded shortly after the Original Soundtrack for 'Abracadabra' which the band recorded in 1992 and was released in 1993. As Miller died in 1994 that would seem to make Brian James statement that it was the last thing Miller ever worked on sound believable. Some of the tracks from the 'Abracadabra' soundtrack were included on 'Ready To Crack' but, as Alan Lee Shaw was on bass for the OST but Nico Mansy is credited on 'Ready To Crack', I don't think they were recorded at the same sessions. Incidentally Jimmy Miller is credited with backing vocals on 'Ready To Crack' as well.

09.06.2018 Suburbs, Guildford (with Eddie and the Hot Rods).

Our anniversary weekend.
'The Suburbs' venue is actually the 'Holroyd Arms'.
We've booked a room. They have chalets 'round the back of the pub.
That's handy. :)

I've ordered the album but, unless they are different recordings or remixed, these tracks are the same ones Rat made available through his own website as downloads in 2016.

I'd like to see official releases for the (at least) 20 albums worth of other recordings. ;)

Apart from all the other stuff I've just got tickets to see The Posies at The Garage in October.
