TV Live / Re: Setlists
« on: Yesterday at 01:31:34 PM »
Cheers me dear.  1 question  The Adverts sung twice in Sheffield?

It was already listed on the setlists as opening & closing the show and I've just checked my recording and TV says that they are going to finish the way they started or words to that effect. The Music Machine gig from earlier in the year also has "The Adverts" opening & closing although I don't have a copy of this (hint to anyone who'd like to rectify this!). Was this not around the time that Howard "disappeared"? TV is definitely playing guitar at the Sheffield one. Perhaps he hadn't learnt any other songs?! All three setlists are the same apart from the fact that "The Adverts" didn't close the Glasgow show. Or perhaps it did? The old bootleggers trick of making sure that only you have the complete show may have come into play.

Mmm we will never know...

Went to see Ben Elton last night.   2 1/2 hours of cracking comedy, just as it should be.  Loud, controversial and sometimes filthy.   Excellent!!     Haven't laughed so much in years.

NO sympathy!

I have had enough sympathy following Wales over 42 years now Fred.  Dire games in Moldova, Albania & Romania spring to mind.  Being pelted with satsumas in Turkey, pissed on by Ities in Milan and being offered Cider (which looked like, and tasted like (allegedly) piss) by Jocks on a train to Liverpool in 1977.  But I wouldn't change it..  just having the difficulty in getting some tickets cos of the "wagon-jumpers", but thankfully have plenty of credit at the FAW.

What do you mean I'm only jealous?!

And we really enjoyed the Blue Carpet Band at Skeggy.

And have the tickets for the SLF gig in March.

I haven't seen TV for over a year. My bad.

Your entering the Land of the Overdose then Ken..    Enjoy

Excellent gig in Maidstone last night.  26 songs, all on the archive list.

Opening was Mikey Price, a very good singer and guitarist. Reminded me a bit of Louise D, but not so angry.  Did 7 songs with 2 covers. Managed to break her G string!! but was rescued by TV.

Reasonable crowd despite the weather, where we were entertained with 26 songs, including for the 1st time in the UK, Daydreaming (well I cant find it on the UK set-lists!) and also in the set was a first for me in Ghosts of Westminster.  Mrs Taff was in attendance (her first in 2 years. see I do let her out now & then!)  All the songs are on the set-list page.  TV managed to break his C string after Last Lost Street, which was then followed by String will snap.

A good evening all round.
