Exclusive interview with The Adverts iconic bass player Gaye Advert

Did this one sneak under the radar?

Nope, hadn't seen this.

Wayne Fontana, British singer who topped US charts with Game of Love, dies aged 74

Saw him as part of a 60's evening, must be 10 years ago, most enjoyable.  He wore a large stetson hat and had long hair, during the set he removed the hat to show that he was bald on top and that the hair was just a border around the "pate".

Tim Smith (of The Cardiacs).

When I saw that on FB I had to do a double-take.

Useless information part1.

The picture on the Manics album "Pictures from a young man" is that of the actor Tim Roth (Pulp Fiction etc).

Found the Dates for 3 more Adverts Gigs

from the Booklet of the Movie "Brennende Langeweile" ... such a Terrible Movie, but contains one of the few filmed The Adverts Live performanes.

Are there any complete videos of those gigs? TV?

Indeed a poor movie, but I must admit that I have not watched it all. Might do that when I can find time!!!!

That makes 2452 gigs on the set-lists, 795 in Germany and 400 without set-lists...

RIP Steve Priest

We just haven't got a clue what to do...

I always like them, saw a "re-hash" of the band in ooh 2011, very good and had a nice chat afterwards

At least this "lockdown" lark allows one to catch up on reading.  Trouble is that I thought "I know Tim's Diaries I havn't read since first getting them....

After a few pages of reading, I think!!! I wonder if that gig is on the archive list??, so I check!!! at time of writing this I am at the end of book 2 and I have found  96 more gigs, but only 8 more ticks against songs..

Still at least that's been time put to good use.  Now where's book 3?

Now that the gig list is decimated on the front page, I have put the cancelled gigs in the archive list and will do so "after the date",

There are a few gigs scheduled and these have been shown elsewhere (SLF etc), but obviously likely to be rescheduled unless.....

We who wait!!

I have been to 6 German grounds all watching Wales.
Nuernburg, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf, Koln & MGB, plus Wuppertal for Under 21's.  Never seen a win though

For me it is not Bayern M, the Man Utd of Germany.

It will be Dusseldorf (because of Toten Hosen connection) and St Pauli for the punk connection.

Gove has said that the 'hospitality' sector will be the last to come out of lockdown, so I fear you may well be right.

I havn't got my ticket yet, I am/was only going to the Friday.  Hotel is on a "cancellable deal" and train tickets are free!!!
