Finally, an update on this (if you can call it that):

"We're in the process of building the project masters, it'll come together and be announced for release in the coming weeks. ''Vive le rock'' magazine will have the albums for review in the coming days, and pre-sales will be available online soon. Thanks to everyone who sent tracks!"

To be honest, I'm a bit dubious about this actually happening as the first releases were supposed to be out by the end of June. Communication has been poor to say the least - nearly 2 months since the last update - I know TV hadn't been updated last week and when I posted on you know what asking was there any news the page "liked" my comment but didn't bother answering!

Well, if it hasn't happened in over eight years...
That's what happens when you don't check the facts on Fred's favourite social media site!

Really enjoyed TV's Phoenix FM outing last month. There's a new one up now with Rat - he's chosen an eclectic mix of tracks (there's an Adverts one there too!). When I get three and a half hours to spare, I'll give it a listen.

Can't see this going ahead but HRH Punk is still advertising it's festival in Sheffield - 10th - 11th October. TV is billed to appear with The Bored Teenagers amongst many others.

Marc Zermati - founder of Skydog records.

"Parisian Marc Zermati might not be a household name, but all true devotees of Rock Action know his work. Marc founded Skydog Records in 1972, the imprint which originally released Iggy and the Stooges' epochal "Metallic K.O." and the MC5's almost-equally grand "Thunder Express," as well as important records by the Flamin'Groovies and Johnny Thunders. Marc promoted the first-ever European punk festival in 1976, and subsequently booked tours of Japan for Johnny Thunders. The label nowadays goes by the name of Skydog International or just Skydog.
Born in Algiers June 21 1945 Marc Zermati died June 12 2020 from a heartattack."

Update from The Stranglers Facebook page:

Full Final UK Tour And Album Update
Dave’s death has been an absolute tragedy and mere words cannot describe our deep sense of loss and the sheer, raw emotion that we have felt over the past month. Dave was our dear friend and band mate and we will miss him forever. The loss has had an absolutely devastating effect on us as a band and we’ve spent a lot of time in reflection and discussing the future. We had all been working on recording a new album, much of which is ready to mix. Dave was, of course, an integral part of our work on this new material and, therefore, we fully intend to bring the project to fruition as soon as we can get back together.
We have also been thinking of you, our fans. We have read the many posts and messages with regard to the Final Full Tour and, after much discussion, we have decided to proceed with the shows in Dave’s honour. Dave was very much looking forward to this being our final, full outing so we believe it’s the most suitably fitting way for all of us together to say goodbye.
JJ, Baz and Jim.

TV was on this tonight:

It's the Acoustic Video Sessions in a slightly different order with the addition on "La Grosse Prise".
There's also a donation link although it's not that clear what big a percentage TV gets from it:

Can you sew Tim?
Not sure whether to order the "We Stand Alone" or "Never Again Until The Next Time" version. Might get the "File It Under Not My Problem" one for Boris!

Did anyone listen to the Phoenix FM radio interview from last weekend?
Yeah, really enjoyed it - couldn't argue with the artists chosen and some of my favourite tracks too.

What???
Where's Dr Feelgood's Stupidity?
First ever live album to go to number 1 in the UK chart in it's first week of release.

I was desperately trying NOT to give away what well-known two minute punk song TV had performed!
Oops!

Online now - all pre-recorded.
Disappointing to say the least, less artists with a longer running time for each would (for me anyway) have worked better.
Apart from TV's (less than 2 minutes) Bored Teenagers - same set-up as for the Acoustic Video Sessions but doesn't appear to have been recorded at the same time (Acoustic Video Sessions volume 2 please!) - the old acoustic guitar used on this one? - the highlight for me was Glen Matlock & Earl Slick's "Blank Generation". I seem to remember these 2 having done some stuff on Glen's Facebook page - must check that out.
Not sure how long the Vive Le Rockdown video will be up but here's a direct link to it:

You can also donate to the Music Venue Trust (though a proper link for this would have helped).
