Has anyone else joined King Danny 1st's new country (as yet to be named)  :?:

Fleagle, my daughter and I have, we are hoping to set up our embassy on Saturday, we thought the conservatory would be a good place  :)

I like Danny Wallace and enjoyed reading about his 'Join Me' campaign, so when I found out he was starting his own country I just had to find out more and was suitably impressed and joined  8)

Despite Klaus only spending a short time with my nephew it was long enough for Klaus to teach him some of his bad ways

Jeff Creep started me off on this search with his story of an ornament he wanted, it was of the Patron Saint of Hunting with a gun across his shoulder  8O

Saint Hubert of Liége
Feast of Saint Hubert of Liége, November 3. Patron saint of hunters, the hunt, dogs, and victims of hydrophobia. Officially opens hunting season in Belgium.

Would you believe there is even a Patron Saint of the Internet  8O

Saint Isidore of Seville
Feast of Saint Isidore of Seville, April 4. Isidore (c.560-636) is a Doctor of the Church, and patron saint of the internet.

We decided to look for the Patron Saint of Sheds (an in joke) and came  up with this chap, he certainly has his work cut out  8)

GUY of Anderlecht

Patronage
Anderlecht Belgium, against epilepsy, against hydrophobia, against infantile convulsions, against mad dogs, against rabies, animals with horns, bachelors, convulsive children, epileptics, horned animals, laborers, protection of outbuildings, protection of sheds, protection of stables, sacristans, sextons, work horses

Just love it how bachelors are tied in with mad dogs, rabies and horned animals

Wed 13 Oct 04 LONDON - Madame Jo Jos
Brewer Street, London W1

Gawd I went to the site and found this write up  8O

Quote
Over the many years since it first opened its doors to the public Madame Jo Jo’s has acquired an international reputation as the world’s premiere drag cabaret venue.

Hope they haven't got confused by the 'TV' bit in TV Smith

Klaus this sounds like the perfect venue for you to wear one of your dresses to.

Well just booked the night off work so I will be there  8)

Mr Klaus sir,

I  am disapointed to see that the Updated on, in the top left hand corner of the home page has NOT been updated since the 8th May 2004  8O

This is so usefull for us lazy buggers who can't be botherd to scroll down and see what has recently been added to the site  :?

I might have to sue you for repetitive stress injury if I have to scroll unecessarily

The headline on Evening Stanard vendors boxes tonight read

'BEER PRICES SET TO FALL' (or something like that anyway)  8)

It would appear that a Judge ruled that it was wrong for a Publican  to have to buy his beer from one source as dictated by his Landlord a major pub company  :D

Horah the little chap wins  :D

If it sound too good to be true here is the link to the article

World Chat / Of Greyhounds And Nude Cleaners
« on: February 11, 2004, 11:55:27 AM »
Fleagle and I are currently looking at the possibility of adopting a retired Greyhound, and have been to our nearest rescue centre a couple of times now.

What I have discovered is that they are more than happy for you to just come along and walk the dogs, even if you can't offer them a home  8)

So if you ever wanted a dog and maybe haven't got the time or space, this is a great alternative to full time commitment.   We have taken two out now and they have both been absolutely wonderful  8)

So if you have a local rescue centre it might well be worth checking them out  8)

World Chat / Your Ticket Out Of Hear Instrumental
« on: October 05, 2003, 10:21:06 AM »
Wasn't sure under what section to post this so I chose here  :?

The instrumental bits on Ticket out of here remind me of another song, but being useless I can only remember parts of the lyrics and the video

If anyone can tell me what the song I am thinking of is it will help me enjoy the above song better, because trying to remember is too distracting

The song it reminds me of has lyrics that are something like smooth/strange apperatus etc... and the video had a robot orchestra/band, possibly released late seventies  :?

It probably sounds nothing like it but for some reason the instrumental bits  remind me of the mystery song  :?
