Hey, no problem I didn't wanna moan... I really felt the photos put across the atmosphere of the gig. And you're absolutely right, I already thought that some of the close-ups I saw looked pretty much the same and might be from almost any gig...
JS' photos from Tübingen are a good example of how such photos can capture the atmosphere of a gig! Hers from Stuttgart are also enjoyable, 'cause you can see the Useless backdrop. Cheers JS :!:

But I must say I kinda liked your 'arty' photos from last night as well.  :)

Oh well, those crazy TV Smith fans...
Thanks for keeping us up-to-date by this. Hope you'll find some sleep today before you end up sleeping during a gig...

Pics are okay, so some are a bit blurred. Did he use Pink Floyd's light show for this one?

No problem, the setlist of Stuttgart is not the most important thing (that is that the gig happenend and was great)...
Good to hear you had a great night. Did you not go to sleep at all or how come you were online so early?
Must have a look at the pics...

Okay, Spike you were allowed to get your DTH ticket signed if you bought a TV Smith CD! I guess you're not the same Spike that TJ got beat up for, but buy him a beer anyway when he comes to Germany...

Klaus, I looked at the setlist, I was sure "I will walk you home" was the last song, but maybe I was wrong. Does anyone else remember for sure? JS  :?:

Hy folks,

the gig in Stuttgart was better than I expected it could be!

Yes it was great, he even broke his own record by playing 41 songs. Now go and read my review (will be online soon)!

So you were the cheeky guy asking TV to sign something in the middle of the gig!
That was okay, I guess you had to catch you train or so.
But a DTH ticket, couldn't you have bought a CD??

TV Live / Finished!
« on: May 07, 2002, 03:35:45 PM »
My boss was out of the house and I had not too much work to do, so I already finished and sent off the Stuttgart review!
It's a good thing you will take photos and write reviews, so I can keep myself informed about how the tour is going, as I probably won't be able to see more gigs.

TV Live / Need more time
« on: May 07, 2002, 08:09:05 AM »
Sorry, this time I'm not as fast anymore as on Sunday, I was really worn out and tired on Monday... I'll try to finish it as soon as possible! (Hopefully today or tomorrow.)
Klaus, I told your greetings to TV in Stuttgart, but I guess you will see him soon anyway.

Praise from TJ, the most professional reviewer here, this makes me proud - thanks TJ!
Btw, anonymous (?), I wrote runaway RAIN driver (because it rained all day), it was not a typing mistake.
I'm looking forward to see the videos and photos by JS online! Will be good company to my review.  :)

Hey, great to see it's already online. Things are moving pretty fast on the TV website nowadays! Will try to write another one about Stuttgart, but it will take me a bit longer, I guess.

TV Live / Setlist

Ja, JS, ich war so früh wach weil Viola zeitig fahren wollte! Außerdem bin ich so aufgedreht wegen dem genialen Gig, dass ich gar nicht mehr schlafen könnte... Aber ich versuch's nachher!

Ok, back to English now: my setlist is now up to 40 songs, as I realised I'd forgotten "The Servant"! I'll send you the list JS, as I can't think of any more right now.
It was so nice to meet you, I really liked to talk to you, I'm already looking forward to the next meeting!

Good to hear you enjoy my little tour reports, Klaus. I just finished off my Karlsruhe review and sent you the mail - I'm so fired up today I just couldn't stop writing... Great fun, hope you like it.

Ha ha, good to hear you weren't drunk last night...
I can understand you wanna know what happened on the Forum. Maybe you're just reading it, I've put up a "short" report about Stuttgart! I got up very early today if you consider that I got into bed about 4.30am... But Viola (who stayed here in my parent's house for the night) wanted to drive home early and I just didn't want to go to bed again and tell you here about the brilliant night we just had... :D

TV Live / Tour report number 2
« on: May 05, 2002, 10:27:11 AM »
Stuttgart went much better than expected!!!
Viola just started her drive home about an hour ago, I planned to go to sleep again, but I couldn't, I was too enthusiastic about last night! I just took my CD's and noted down all the songs TV played yesterday plus the new songs I remembered - I counted 39!!! TV said after the gig it was 40+ (he thought he forgot one or two), so he broke his record! Unbelievably, two and a half hours playing time...
At first TV thought it could turn into a cold atmosphere in this big club with not too many people turning up, but in the end it was an intimate warm atmosphere anyway and he enjoyed it (obviously). He played many rare songs (We who wait, Television's over) including some I'd never heard live before, JS wished for Straight and narrow, which he played promptly, I really enjoyed it, as well as Can't Pay Won't Pay.
We had a bit of a fan meeting with Viola, JS, Rene and Marianne being there. In fact it was also the first "official" meeting of the Smith fanclub whose "members" are all called Schmid (well, only Jessica and me till now). A big THANK YOU to my friends who were wise enough to turn up, Wolfgang and Michael (of The Nerves) and also to those from the Karlsruhe gig who came down! I feel very sorry for those I sent e-mails to about the gig, but did NOT appear (they should do all it takes to f...in' WAKE UP)!
