World Chat / too late
« on: January 08, 2003, 05:09:12 PM »
Too late for your tip with the gig reports, but I will get back there someday soon. It was interesting to read some info about you, and you're not THAT old, only one year older than me :!:  :)
So you must have been about 13, when you discovered DTH :?:

Yes, there was an "acoustic tour" in Germany, not many dates, about two weeks or so. But I was lucky as she played Ulm, which is not too far, great gig!

Good to have you back! I was off for a few days too, and maybe I'll repeat that for a while within the next days...

Great to hear about the second part of the tour - and this time it's more than 3 sentences :!:  :)
Also good to know that TUTS are growing (though not all of them can come to this Forum I guess).

Oh, remember how I'd hoped for info on the album, and here it comes...  :D
I hope it will be not a bad day when the album comes out :!:

TV Live / live gigs
« on: January 02, 2003, 02:17:44 PM »
As almost every year, I watched quite a lot of gigs in 2002.
My favourites:
TV Smith in Karlsruhe and Stuttgart in May :!:  Both great...
The Damned at Shepherd's Bush Empire, London (supported by Brian James Gang)
The Cure (with Cranes, Mogwai and Joseph Arthur) in Hyde Park, London (in July)
Anne Clark, Ulm, mid-November
The Walkabouts, Geislingen, in January
D.O.A. supported by The Nerves, Stuttgart (in June)
Nikki Sudden, Geislingen, late October
Wayne Hussey, Stuttgart, Nov. 4th
Chuck Prophet, Geislingen
Attila the Stockbroker, Ludwigsburg
Lords Of The New Church, Stuttgart
The Spook and The Nerves, Backnang

World Chat / fave CD's...
« on: January 02, 2003, 02:00:40 PM »
In no particular order, my favourite CD's of 2002 were:
Joey Ramone - Don't Worry About Me  (RIP, Joey Punk legend!)
Cranes - Future Songs
Mischief - Hubble Bubble
The Nerves - Rock The House EP
TSOL - Disappear
The Lennons - Der Weg Nach Eden
Crashing Dreams - Serpentaire EP
Helen Zachariah - driving through the back of my mind
Barbara Manning & the Go-Luckys! - 6track Promo CD
Lords Of The New Church - Believe it or not (CD-single)
The Spook - Fright Night EP (not really a CD, I got the 10"!)

Note: some of these were indeed released in 2001, but I didn't listen to them before 2002. Also there are some more old albums I bought in 2002 and should therefore be listed:
TV Smith's Explorers - Last Words of the Great Explorer
TV Smith - Channel 5
Doctors Of Madness - Late Night Movies, All Night Brainstorms
Stiv Bators - Disconnected (10")
... and probably some others I forgot now...

Bugs & Tips / glad
« on: January 02, 2003, 01:44:21 PM »
Glad to hear my reviews were no problem. :D
As you put them into the format of the website anyway, it would be a good idea for other reviewers to not use too many scripts, etc. so that you have no problem to paste them in.

TV Chat / thanks

Thanks, Fleagle, I wish you and Mrs fleagle a happy new year and the rest of the TUTS as well, of course!!!!

World Chat / List 3 - Tj's Favourite Film Of 2002 - What's Yours?
« on: January 02, 2003, 11:48:39 AM »
Mine was Minority Report (I think).
But I saw Lord of the Rings part one in January, though it was released in Dec. 2001...
Have yet to see part 2 so it can't be my fave film of 2002.

World Chat / big problem
« on: January 02, 2003, 11:45:00 AM »
Having a big problem about this one - I don't own a DVD player yet! If so, I guess I'd have bought the "Twin Peaks" DVD box.

Happy New Year to all of you and especially T.V.! His newsletter finally gives away the title of the album...

Bugs & Tips / easy
« on: January 02, 2003, 11:39:53 AM »
Yeah, that's the point, Klaus, it was already easy for me, I just wrote the reviews in my e-mail program and sent them to you, can't be much easier (for me anyway)...
If I would have to work myself into other programs just to be able to send a review it would stop being that easy!

TV Live / review

It's a very nice review, you can sense the special feeling of that particular night and it becomes obious how big a fan Jock is. (And the fleagles too for travelling so far.)
