Bugs & Tips / Please
« on: December 31, 2002, 05:33:14 PM »
Please don't make it too complicated - I use T-Online mail program and I'm not gonna bother using some Microsoft rubbish like Outlook...
Otherwise I will print my reviews and send them to your postal address, then you will see what to do with it.

TV Live / easy way
« on: December 29, 2002, 03:04:58 PM »
3 gigs reviewed in 3 sentences, yeah that's the easy way...

Quote from: "Klaus"

All members of the band are not yet confirmed.
It's pretty sure, that TV will be in the band, though.

Might be worth going if TV is in the band...

TV Live / St Nicholas
« on: December 29, 2002, 02:59:45 PM »

Sorry, that was my fault, I didn't use my brain. (Call me stupid, silly, brainless.)
I thought about St. Nicholas being a day right now or in January, that's why I didn't get it. I should have noticed the hint with the boots though, as we know that in Germany as well.
Also I'd thought you call him Santa Claus, but as with many things there are different names...
We don't get a day off work here either for that one though!

World Chat / Krupps
« on: December 29, 2002, 02:48:53 PM »
Jock, I think "Die Krupps" is just a name and can't really be translated. Krupp was a German steel company, but I'm not sure if they refer to this with their name. (Don't really remember what they sounded like, maybe I'll check my V/A CD's, there might be a track on there somewhere...)

Mrs Fleagle, I think it's Campino singing on Auld Lang Syne. But DTH fans on here might be able to tell you for sure.

TV Live / walk
« on: December 27, 2002, 03:41:12 PM »
Mrs. Fleagle, what is St. Nicholas day?
Yeah, I might be there in time if I walk ahead now...
Still some difficulty might be swimming the Channel!
Also I think I'd get thirsty on the way and stop for a Guinness then and there and still not make it in time.

These boots are made for walking...

TV Live / thanx

Many thanks for the gig info, Simse!  :)

Klaus, where are your gig reviews :?:

And yes, there should be more gigs in the south.
Which band is he gonna play with in February?

TV Live / Kentish Town
« on: December 26, 2002, 04:35:57 PM »
I used to like Kentish Town, saw a Damned gig in '98 there...
Also in '99 I had my B&B in Highgate and one morning I walked all the way down to Kentish Town. Nice memories!
Don't know if I will make it to The Verge in February though. And it's a bit far to walk from Germany...

World Chat / DTH

If you listened to "Useless", you already knew the sound they make as they were TV's backing band on this.
I think Die Toten Hosen have helped TV a lot in Germany, his gigs since the release of "Useless" have been quite successful and pulled more people than before. And that's very good indeed.

However I must admit that I hardly ever listen to them, as I got bored by their recent CD's to be honest! The last one I bought was the '96 album...
But I quite liked that track they did with the help of TV: "Daydreaming", also I enjoyed one of their songs I saw on television recently: "Nur zu Besuch". But still not enough to buy the bloody album, sorry to all you DTH fans.

JS, you listened to them since you were 8 yrs. old :?:

Kaenga, how old are you if you listen to them since 20 yrs. :?:

Jock, I have heard of Die Krupps, but it is a long time ago and I think I didn't like their sound...

World Chat / Sonny Vincent
« on: December 26, 2002, 04:13:47 PM »
I think there's some mp3s up there too. His CD's aren't always easy to find, as he has recorded with different bands and lots of small labels. He started with "Testors" in New York around '76, later he had some other bands, his recent records all came out under "Sonny Vincent".
His next one should be out in February and will feature a lot of different punk guitarists as guests... (I'll keep you updated in this place here.)
If your dad does know Sonny Vincent congratulations to him! If he doesn't you'll have someone to recommend to him!

World Chat / no prob
« on: December 26, 2002, 04:04:21 PM »
No problem, Alan, I later thought that he might have misheard Strummer for "drummer"...

TV Chat / pissed
« on: December 26, 2002, 04:01:31 PM »
Seems like many people were getting pissed for Xmas...
I had some wine to go with the meal on Xmas eve and as it was quite strong stuff I felt numb for the rest of the night.

Thanks for your congratulations!

I didn't think we 'd get the Forum back before Xmas. That was a real fast solution, Klaus.

TV Chat / 300!
« on: December 23, 2002, 06:31:48 PM »
I just found out that I was at 299 posts, so I have to post this one to fill up the 300 :!:
Congratulations to myself etc. bla bla!

So I'm saying good-bye now until sometime after Xmas, hopefully we will have the website back soon (I'm sure Klaus and TV will do anything possible)!
It will be easier for me to count on from 300 onwards...

World Chat / sad
« on: December 23, 2002, 03:51:56 PM »
Yes, it is shocking because it happened so suddenly, out of the blue. When I first read a message about it, I couldn't really believe it.  :(

TV Chat / posts
« on: December 23, 2002, 03:49:15 PM »
Maybe Klaus will manage to save all the posts, so we can continue where we stopped. We will see.

I thought maybe today everyone posts in panic because they all think it's the last chance! :)

TV Chat / Xmas

Yeah, I wanted to come here too over Xmas...
Especially sad as today it seems to work so well! Lots of posts within a few hours. Or has everybody just posted in panic?

Merry Xmas to all of you!
