TV Chat / Forum users

Thanks for kind words to all of you. I must admit that I wasn't sure about the new forum at first, but it turned out fine!
 :D
The only thing I wonder about is quite some people who are registered but hardly ever do post. Why did they get registered in the first place? I mean it's okay to just read the posts, I just wonder why they don't dare to post. As has been pointed out before this is a very friendly forum so no one has to be scared about posting any 'unpopular' views - apart from maybe someone saying TV couldn't write songs, which I guess will never happen here (or someone mentioning Steve H***, which is a terrible crime as we all know)...
 :)

I've never had anything against more people listening to TV Smith but in the vision Jock has given here I must say it's better if this will never happen... I would get sick hearing him doing a TV song, believe me.

Hey I'm on number 8, not all that bad. And it doesn't seem like anyone catching up soon...  8)

TV Chat / Trio
« on: September 03, 2002, 06:38:59 PM »
Jock, I suspect you misheard the lyrics of the Trio song...
I think it was "ich lieb dich nicht, du liebst mich nicht".  :)
Btw, Trio never managed to sound like Kraftwerk in any ways. Though I must add I've never been a fan of any of them.

Jock, you thought of David Hasselhoff? He used to be successful in Germany years ago... (I hope I won't have to hear his "songs" ever again.) Terrible. Never liked Baywatch anyway...

i read that :-)))))))))))
i think you dont know much about this Music.......
But on one way you love Metal or Hate it, but the lyric is much more........

Yeah, I know, I used to listen to something or other...
(you know, we mentioned Accept), but I don't listen to any of that stuff anymore because it would be boring for me.
I know what I wrote was a cliché view of heavy metal, sorry. Of course these lyrics about hell, death etc. are much better...

Isn't TV's new album going in the Country & Western direction?

How about Heavy Metal, isn't that even worse than C&W?
I mean long-haired machos singing about how big their ... are, does it get any worse?  :x

World Chat / Crazy?

As you can see from his two posts on here, TV has gone crazy since he went to the USA!! Probably caught an infection from George W. Bush, who welcomed him at the airport...

Didn't he wear a Stars and Stripes t-shirt at recent gigs?

World Chat / Bryan Adams and Kid Strange
« on: August 29, 2002, 02:09:45 PM »
Although I've never liked Bryan Adams within the last years, I didn't hate that song when it was released. I don't remember the video but it's true that Kid Strange acted in the movie, I read about that on his website. I didn't know which character he was, so I borrowed the video from a friend and re-watched the film to check it out...  :o

I can't really tell which is my most hated record. If I hate a song I don't think about it long enough to decide if I hate it more than other ones I hate... But I can tell you I hate most of that dancefloor, rap, hiphop etc. which is on the radio/TV nowadays.
And "Barbie Girl" was really terrible, I agree.  :x

Sorry, I won't translate the review, firstly there's a few difficult words in it and secondly it's really not worth it...

i thought id said i love you my darling

You're not wrong, it was something like this. But the spelling wasn't quite right, maybe that's why Klaus said it sounded like an Italian guy.  :)

It should be "Ich liebe Dich mein Fräulein".
Btw, "Fräulein" means same as "Miss" in English.
Your German teacher Uli.

P.S.: Maybe I'll try and translate the Adverts review for you in a few days even though it's nothing special.

TV Chat / Adverts review in German press
« on: August 22, 2002, 04:05:44 PM »
In the August issue of German music paper "Musikexpress" there's an article about Punk and reviews of lots of punk albums including of course "Crossing The Red Sea with The Adverts". Might be a bit late for anyone to buy it, as I guess it will only be available for a few days left (if that). No need to worry though, Klaus, I can send you a scan if you want.

Oh, I remember Accept, I never owned an LP, but taped some from friends... If I still had them, I wouldn't listen to that old Heavy Metal sh...

But you needn't feel embarrassed about that one, I guess.
