TV Chat / New Album 2018
« on: February 23, 2018, 11:29:39 AM »
Album is going well, there is a title, but it was not forthcoming from the man as it may change. 1 thing though gleaned us that Tim is playing ALL the instruments.. First half of the year possible.

Don't plan to see TV at Rebellion, Blackpool this year... Not invited..  Well that's some money saved.

The set list for Tuesday at Frankfurt Au was the same as Stuttgart, although the printed list only showed the 1 encore.  Au was tiny, but very packed, we got a good vantage point at the front with the speakers proving a excellent table for the beers!!  Only 1.5 of those Euro thingies... Bidding Beer was the ale of choice and churlish not to waste the cheap price.  Goldmarks was over twice the price, but hey.  I almost got a RTD conga going with a German lady, but we soon ran out of track. 2 excellent gigs, difficult to say the favourite, but as I also spoke to Autoramas that just edges it.  Good to meet You at last and Rob C and if course Ilona and Wolfgang.  Will try to get photos up soon.

Eastfield in Canterbury for me this Saturday.  Part of a Tribute weekend for a "punk promoter" who did a couple of years ago...

Since his excellent performance on ITAOME, Tim Renwick had disappeared from our "radar" a bit, but great to hear he'll be there tonight!
TV on FB:
Looking forward to meeting up in a few hours with my old buddy Tim Renwick and playing a few songs with him at the Highwayman, as well as enjoying sets from Pete Kliskey, Andy Thomas and Billy Liar. Hope some of you hardy Westcountry people will brave the 70 mph gales and come and join us.

Ok, now here's one for the "rumour mill".   What was Mr R doing in darkest Devon??,  was there a possibility of Mr R joining Mr S on the new album.....

Never had any luck applying for these BBC things.

It's on my day off too.

Hopefully see you there!!!  yeah right ho..

Louise Distras in Dover on Wednesday..

So a new venue for me "The Booking Hall" in Dover, which was a former railway station in the town.  parking spaces for about 6 cars and then the nearest space was a 10-minute walk away.

First on was Riskee & the Redicule, a good 4-piece with plenty of local support the came (for me) the highlight in Louise..  the last time that I saw her was about 3 years ago, supporting TV in Derby/Leeds, she still has that incredible voice, unfortunatly there were only about 15 - 20 listening to her, with another 50 or so "at the bar" and from about 40 foot away, i could hear them over Louise's voice..  Let's just say that Louise reacted!!!..  after 20 minutes and 5 songs she just jumpred off the stage and dissapeared not to be seen for the rest of the evening..   Last on was Itch, from the King Blues, excellent stuff from him and a 90 minute set, before a 10-minute walk back to the car...

A good evening, but could have been better...
