I wonder what inspired the flowers and dead bird motif? It is indeed uncannily like "Land of the Overdose" meets "In the Arms of my Enemy"!

They obviously know a quality sleeve.

The Royal Mail are GREAT!

Except for the "relief" postman we recently had while our usual postie, Dave the Rocker, was on holiday. I saw him come to our house, but discovered that he'd put a neighbour's mail through our door, so I picked it up and tracked him down and asked him for our mail in exchange. "Oh, I haven't got as far as your house yet" he told me. I looked at him with disbelief and he was honestly puzzled as to why. I asked him "If you haven't got to my house yet, then how can you have just put these through my letter box?", hoping that he would now realise the impossibility of his statement. Nope. He just didn't get it. I tried to spell it out for him, but I was so unconvinced that he'd actually grasped that he MUST have been at my house, or he couldn't possibly have put a neighbour's post through MY letter box, that I insisted on delivering the incorrectly delivered mail for him.

I never saw him again for some reason...

Where's Vic Goddard when you need him?

File it under "not my problem".

We'll another cracking night watching T.V.  A 6 hour journey involving trains, tube, bus and taxi found your scribe at The Highwayman in Sourton and what a venue.. quirky is a understatement, but after a tour by Sally a short walk with Alan Grundy (no relation to Bill) down the nearby disused railway line an adjournment to one of the many bars in time for Atilla's poetry set. TV's turn next and the new album was played in its entirety, so all the new songs have been heard by Tuts.. Barnstormer 1649 rounded off the evening, with an excellent set. Much (too much) supping followed, before retiring around 2.30!!!! So the set list control, we stand alone, green zone, never again, keys, satellites, no hope St, lost sheep, sunny side, file it, written, overdose.   Also in attendance was a former member of cheap, I will credit him when I remember his name....   A great night/morning, here's to the next one!!!

Its a bit far for me from darkest Kent   ;)

I have linked up TJ (remember him) and Dave Thompson.  There were a few errors in the original book, so hopefully they will all be amended this time around.
