i think he should do an album but have me and my guitarist back him,do something totally differant and experimental,go for it tv.ive gotta studio anytime.

Another new qusetion beckons.

I know loads of TUTS whose secret ambition is to play (live or record) with TV. Lots of guitarists and Cas on drums.

I also know someone whose secret fun and adventure goal in life is to sing backing vocals to TV

As TJ knows my biggest musical claim to fame is supporting a band that once supported the UK Subs.  Hardly makes me a star I know.
I have this not so secret ambition to play one song before a TV gig, so I can claim, a bit tongue in cheek, to have supported TV.  I can just about play guitar and sing like an angel (Hells Angel that is).  And anything that follows me would sound fantastic by comparison.

jim 'll fix it
« Reply #3 on: June 30, 2003, 06:49:10 PM »
I always wanted to play with my heroes....(not literally  8O )

shame jim cant fix it for me....

it appears that a lot of us out there are frustrated wannabes - myself included, and we probably are wishing for something that is not likely to happen ....so
why not form our own bands locally....
I have a drummer nearby (marcus) a guitarist (John - see verge and punk aid photos) ...so looks like bass and vocals needed in the carshalton area!!

I think teev is an inspiration to us and really would not like us to be his backing band!! :D     !!

wouldnt want to drag him down to our level - what would we have to look forward too??

fleags
I got some presents for you boo-boo

  groupies      :P   not for me anyway thats for sure...

the band i was in was Patrol , i played drums with them , check there web site out im sure its on our Mohawk links page ?   anyway we played with loads of crass style bands , but also a lot of older type punk bands too from around this area .

i played with other bands , and while in a band called the Plaque we supported the UK subs , which was fun , wattie was there too , and all the nutters from edinburgh , turned out a good gig .... im never the best of drummers m8 , but i had a good time , and its all thanks to bands like the Adverts , cos without those bands i would never have tried playing any instrument .
Bloody hell !

Well this topic needs a serious update!

We really must congratulate BB for his excellent bass work on TV's new album. He's a true TUT that posts and follows TV and has recorded and played with him several times.

Since we never did get organised enough to actually play with TV, why don't we start a virtual band?

BB is the obvious starting point on bass:

On drums, we'll be looking through Gary Glitter's eyes with at least two drummers. First up, it's Scotland's finest, our very own Jock:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zz2fCLts6yg

Next, it's another Smith: Chris

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Mu1TeFk8dY

Let's keep it in the Smith family with Charli on keyboards:

(What a beautiful version of this song!)

I'm up for some blues harp:

Anyone can join, so tag along. Where are the guitarists hiding? More uploads please TUTS!

A TUTS tribute recording?

Everyone involved even if it's just backing vocals or a triangle. ;D

I have several guitars, none of which I can play.

I know 2 chords: Plink and, also, plunk  ;)

I know at least 6 chords but I've yet to string any of them together into one tune. I'm better on bass.

And I definitely CANNOT sing. ;D
