Tj Sundown Carrying On and On
« on: August 16, 2003, 12:53:54 PM »
Hi TUTS,

Be Your Best You, Create Your Best Life

As a Coach I'm always wanting to help as many people as possible, but I find I just can't help everyone I come accross because there are so many people out there and so little time to share. For instance: I'd love to help my nephew who is soon to be leaving school to go out in the big wide world. I'd love to help Jock produce a Goal Map and plan and take the proactive action needed to buy his touring 'converted ambulance' van. I'd love to help Klaus with his heavy workload at home, work and play. I'd love to help Mrs F, as she is the only person on the forum to ask me about doing some Life Coaching with her. I'd love to help Markus to be more often be the great fun person he was when I met him in the 12 Bar Club. I'd love to help C5 to believe that the 80's Demo's are just as good as Channel 5. 8O   You get the picture.

Well I've just finished reading the best book I have ever read. It's also, the closest thing I have read to the Seven Steps To Self-fulfillment that I coach people through at work. This is because I went on Goal Mapping training course with the authors a few years back and I have incorporated many of their teachings into my sessions.

It's called Life Mapping by Brian and Sangeeta Mayne. Brian calls himself a teller of old truths and he developed both Life and Goal Mapping, his partner Sangeeta is an experienced Life Coach.

Essentally the book is about this:

"Be your BEST you and you will naturally create your best life."

"Think your very best thoughts and you will trigger your best feelings which will influence your best actions and effectively create your best results."

The book helps you to find out what people think are the very best things about you. It helps you to capture the essence of the very best you in a Life Map that buries in your sub-concious and helps guide you through life.

To give you an idea of what I am talking about I'll share the words of my Life Map with you (no sniggering at the back!)

This is what I want to be:

LIFE PURPOSE: I Live In The Moment and Radiate Positivity.

MENTAL: I am the Lion and the Lamb.*

EMOTIONAL: I am Passion and Compassion.

PHYSICAL: I'm Alive with Energy and Enthusiasm.

MATERIAL: I am Rich in Happiness and Contentment.

SOCIAL: I Share my Gifts and Coach People to Transcend.

SPIRITUAL: I Believe in me and have Peace and Strength within me.

*Come on TUTS you knew I would get a TV Smith link in there somewhere
The Lion is the strong traits of Courage, Determination and Confidence.
The Lamb is the meek traits of Calmness and Patience.
According to TV The Lion and the Lamb is about getting the best out of life by being both strong and meek, at the right moments.

Mrs F and Fleag, as you have been so generous to me I have ordered you a copy so that you can go through Life Coaching without out having to look at this Northern Git! I know that you won't accept any cash off me and a book is a very special gift. :D

Many thanks for listening TUTS :D I'm honestly and sincerely just trying to help. I'd also like to apologise in advance if I have switched anyone off or in anyway annoyed anyone.

Okay Uli fire away

TJ
How very spooky you should write the above post,  I have just had the most surreal fortnight and came to the decision that you reap what you sow  :D

I applied for a job that I had very little relevant experience for but really liked the sound off, I filled in the application form, thinking I have nothing to lose  and thought no more about it expecting to be rejected at stage one.  I have just been sent an appointment for an assessment test I probably won't get the job but I am well chuffed to have been considered  8)

Fleagle and I have just had an offer accepted on a house and I jokingly told our frienda it would now be stripping and painting parties, I was really shocked when everyone said they would love to help  8O  8)

The book sounds like the icing on the cake  :D

Mrs F

The first secret of believe is to believe you can.  :D

By saying "I probably won't get the job" you are programming your brain to believe you won't get the job and this will have a negative impact on your performance and behaviour.

So go out there and believe Mrs F, you will be amased at what will happen when you are positive and you believe in yourself. :D

I'll send your icing on the cake as soon as I get hold of another copy :D

Okay Uli fire away

Huh? Why should I :?:

Btw, it is a pure coincidence I read this post, as I currently have had not so mucht time to spend in the Internet as I used to have, so most of the time I only read the posts I think are the most interesting and leave other ones out (though I might miss some things)...
Have a lot of work to do (but I have no problem with this, I like to do it, it just leads to having less spare time) and two relatives are in hospital, so I have to do visits etc.

I never ever doubted your intentions in helping people :!:  :)

Uli,

TJ loves to tease a bit from time to time.
But it's a friendly tease. :D

And by doing so he successfully manages to involve you in this topic. :D
