This lunch time I got a call offering me a job, a job that meets all that I was looking for in a job, better pay and conditions etc...

Mre Fleagle

Now do you all begin to see what I have been talking about? I've half a dozen people that I have been coaching that have had this happen to them recently.

My sincere and well deserved congratulations Mrs F.

Remember to keep focusing on what you want to happen and not what you don't want to happen.

Despite my last post on silly science this study on luck made good sense to me and seems to fit TJ's theme.....

I rest my case Alan.

Of course this isn't fool proof as I have just had some bad luck. :P

I'll still keep believing though. :D

Coach Yourself To Happiness
« Reply #64 on: February 27, 2004, 01:01:51 PM »
Oops  This should be in this section. Sorry Uli. :D

This is for Alan, Mrs F and Jock's Carol and anyone interested in improving their lives. This book sums up most of the things I have learnt over the last couple of years:

Personal Coaching For Results by Lou Tice (ISBN 0-7852-6945-2)

It's amazing how little we know about the way our mind works. If you really want lasting success and happiness then many of the secrets to finding this are in this book.

You should see what has happened to some of the people I have coached through this. For instance career wise, one is through to the second round of interviews for a job one step away from he 5 year goal. This is within 8 months and when she gets it it will be her third promotion into a new job with the same time period. Before that she was on a slow train to no-where. Another has gone from a head in turmoil to calm and content.

Come on TUTS trust me I'm a Doctor

My new job is going well and I am really enjoying it, so hopefully this will be a good year for everybody, even those between jobs, lets hope everyone gets to do something they really want to do  :D

By the way does this pub have accomodation

And if it all goes to plan don't forget to have a beer festival on the night that a solo artist might play

Cheers!  :D

All going to plan at the moment, down there this weekend to look at financial side tho won't be too much of a problem, still going to be nursing just part-time(oh how I've longed to hear those words!   ) My brother's coming in with me so it gives us both time to escape as well, a bit of a neccesity in the place, the locals are mainly old friends and the present landlord is an old mate, but they can be a bit of a handful, did a test run earlier this year for a weekend and loved it!  :D

Accomodation? For friends no problem at all!

Sounds like everything is panning out well for everyone (though I haven't read all the posts so don't quote me on that one!), good to hear you're enjoying your job, tis about time for all of us methinks

Beer Festival? Now if that was an enormous selection of the West Country's finest farmyard cider's then would be onto a winner there! Will make sure there's a fair few decent ales around on the night.  :D

Cheers!  :D
ello, good evening and welcome........

The Journey Enters A New Chapter

Hi Shan, Frenz and Mrs F,

My wife and I are both out of work as off last Friday night, so I wouldn't quite say things are going great in 2004 (same for Alan)...

...But boy what a (first) leaving do I had. A night in Eastwood & Sanders brewey tap with about 60 friends. Had my first three beers in 45 minutes so I had to slow down a little.

Finished off the night with a Chinease meal and a blast on the karoke  Okay I admit it I was a little tipsy. :D

I'm intending to create my own luck going forward though Frenzbob. :D

I've just been emailing Shan about this great book I read this morning.

You'll love it MrsF.

I've just read The Present by Spencer Johnson. One of those fun and easy books that give you the secrets to a happy and successful life. All you have to do is put it all into practice.

Well I've also had my share of shit in this life, and out of a million and one positive things I've learned, here's a few:

Never blame yourself or anyone else, or circumstances, for who you are or where you are.

Accept what happens without trying to analyse it too much.

Step back when you're in a mess and try to see the bigger picture (always so easy to do for other people!)

Everything, no matter what we think, is going perfectly.

If you want something, ASK! Life always provides us with what we need, which isn't necessarily what we want - this includes our lessons for growth.

There's always help out there, (for if you can't find it IN there).

We are what we think we are.

Never, never, ever give up hope.

Some wise word there Shan.

My third interview went well, so how about this one:

You can flow like a river into the filthy sea or you can swim upstream with me. Turn around start to swim...

Why Is Tj Sometimes A Right Pain In The (_!_)?
« Reply #73 on: March 31, 2004, 09:51:01 AM »
Think I'll stay a Salmon Shan, a dirty sea is not for me. :D

For my third interview I completed really detailed neuro bioligy 8O profile and these results were the 'pair of attributes' out of the full list of 81, that best desribes me:

1. Effusive & Communicative
2. Charismatic & Spellbiding
3. Enthusiastic & Outcome Orientated
4. Considerate & Inclusive
5. Honest & Trustworthy
6. Socialistic & Rights Orientated
7. Industrious & Hard-working
8. Pioneering & Initiating
9. Productive & Task Orientated
10. Active & Attentive Listener
11. Progressive & Change Orientated
12. Wise & Determined

Effusive means to talk profusely in an excited manner, no wonder my wife is always telling me to shut up, poor kid has that to put up with every single day.

Here were the two least like me:

80. Forceful & Impositional
81. Conservative & Stability Orientated

Thank GAWD I'm not being described as Conservative, That's so not my favourite word.

So did it peg me right?

Other than that how did the interview go, when do dyou find out if it is yes or no  :?:

Maybe you and Jock could learn survival skills and start one of these Brat Camps on a remote Island in Scotland, with your motivationla skills and Jocks creative skills you would make a great team
