Next TV CD Sounds Great

Thanks Klaus,

I really believe that TV's next CD will be better than March Of The Giants, which, as everyone knows, is the second best album of all time. :D

You lucky, lucky boy.

Hey TJ,

Wouldnt it be great if TV had the new album ready for Southwick  :D

I know its not going to happen with his punishing tour on the Continent !!
Just a bit of daydreaming. I hope your right and the new album lives
to March Of The Giants.
TV always seems to find the nerve to poke in his songs, lets have more of the same.

Incidently I think I'm getting more militant with my posts.Maybe I'm getting more unhappy with the world as I get older, not a bad thing sometimes  :x  :x  :x
See Ya, Grumpy PK  :(    :x

Hi PK and TJ,

Sorry, no chance for a release until Southwick.
We'll be lucky, if it gets released this year.
Most of the songs can already be enjoyed at TV's gigs.
Though, the arrangements are unbelievable great and will add
another dimension to TV's world of music.

TJ,
I can only move topics from forum to forum.
But the thread's alright this way, anyway.

Tj

Glad you have come round though its taken some lobbying from my part.
TV'S new album could very well be up there as the second greatest album of his career and thats praise indeed considering the number one album

Cheers

TJ

Only been away for a couple of weeks but it feels like forever- dont you just hate work -interfers with your social life. Hope you will enroll me as an honourary member of T.U.T.S society(had to scroll back onto the old forum to find out what you were on about ) although I think its a bit rough blaming TV.
Now you are an experienced promoter TJ  just book the gigs- THEN TV will have to turn up and play.

Will you be going down to Southwick 2?-I will be going and by giving TV this much notice, maybe Channel 5 will get another airing( Lies, war Fever, on your video, dominator etc- the list just goes on)

Cheers Mate

Dave Mr C5 Allen - Who is also as massive a fan of the explorers, the Adverts, Cheap and March of the Giants especially but has somehow got labelled with MR C5- which is however TV'S greatest album to date- but maybe not after the next album!!!!!!!!

Me blame or or force TV???
« Reply #8 on: March 23, 2002, 12:44:51 PM »
Hi Mr (substitute next album title),

I certainly agree with your comment about work - it's taken me a year to sort out my new role and job title

Hey C5 let's get one thing straight mate   - I sure as hell aint blaming TV Smith for anything! I'm just jelous that he is doing so many other European dates

I'm afraid that I'm also going to let you down on the fact that I won't be arranging any gigs without TV's agreement.   I learn't at a Peterborough gig that you can't force TV to do anything

It was a gig full of young punks and I told him that he must start with a punk song to win the young crowd over. TV just saw this as a challenge and started with a new slower song.  :o Guess what though - he still won round the entire crowd :P

On the posiTV side :P I am discussing the possiblity of another British gig with TV. This is in addition to Southwick 2002 2 (which will probably only be a 40 minutes set). Mind you it does have Richard Strange and tons of real ale to compenste for that :D

Hey C5 it's great to have you back mate. :D

Don't worry about the T.U.T.S. - you were down as a founder member even before you told us that you wanted to join the cause of the T.U.T.S. Army. :D

A clue to the fact that you can't force TV comes from his lyrics:

moments of this kind are really at the top of the list of unforgettable TV Smith-gig-moments.
You are right, TV likes to challenge the audience.
During the German December tour last year, Tim played as a special guest before a crowd of ca. 2000 punk-fans.
It was a risk to play 'Soon As I Found It I Lost It', as it is a new song and a ballad. But he took the risk and won.
I got a great review of the gig on my harddisk. Guess, I am going to put it up this weekend.
BTW: I will put up part 2 of the current diary, as well.
