Great news - although, as I understand it, they can still be chased on horseback so long as they are shot.
Also good to see the "law abiding" Countryside Alliance showing their true colours for all to see yesterday!!!
Sadest item I saw was a young girl saying that if hunting was banned her horse would have to be destroyed!!!
What???!!!
I never knew horses could only move if they were chasing foxes with people in pantomime costumes on their backs.
Shame we've got to wait two years and there is still the above loophole...

Really dodgy subject for me to mention around here. I am so dissapointed that they can't see the sick horror in what they do. They just don't get why people are so against it.
GAWD only knows what they will get up to in thier so called "Civil War".
They seem to believe they are totally above the law on the land and they can do what they want.

Well sorry, but I'm pro hunting.
Being a keen equestrian sportsman, and living in the middle of the counrtyside, I know many hunts men and women and know how it will destroy their lives.
Two points you may not know:
A healthy fox can out run a hound easily, hence only sick or dying foxes are killed.
A hound kills a fox in a matter of seconds, a gun shot (the other method) could not be directly fatal and cause the fox to bleed to death over hours.
And surely the government has got better things to do, than destroy law abiding peoples lives.
Fight Prejudice, Fight The Ban!

Hmm
Conflict in the family.
Can't agree with you Mart.
No matter how I look at it any type of killing is not sport "a pastime indulged in for pleasure." Trust me the fox's don't get any pleasure out of it.
...I'm sure the dogs enjoy it though.
We'll agree to disagree.
Hope you don't mind me moving this post into World Abused Fred, but my prediction is that this will all get a bit ugly over the next few months.
...Hope not.

I'm also against hunting. As Tj said killing animals shouldn't be called sport, e.g. deep-sea fishing is the same problem, and I just can't understand that something like this can make you having fun. Like mart I'm also riding and here in Germany we've got a tradition of fox hunting where we just "play" it. The whole course is nearly the same as it is in England but without real foxes. There is always one rider in the front who plays the fox, mostly he has a fox tail and a special scent so that the dogs will follow him. I know this may sound a bit silly at first but I can tell you that nobody and nothing gets hurt and we really have a lot of fun.

Mart And now we get to the root of the problem good old money. Peoples lifeliehood's are being destroyed all teh time by big business, but I still don't feel like killing anything or anyone...
Well not too often.
One question Mart. What do you see the outcome of all this retaliation action?

Well first things first, I dont honestly believe that a ban will be enforced.
If the government do pass the law then we'll simply go to the court of human rights (destroying peoples livlihoods is against the law) and I hate to say it but money will help us there too.
It's simple, the Countryside Alliance are fighting the ban and they have a lot of very rich members, some who donate upto 10% of their annual income and so can afford the very best lawyers.
And how come such a big uproar now we retaliate? The anti's have been doing it illegally for years and yet no-one raises an eye-brow.

I am so dissapointed that they can't see the sick horror in what they do. They just don't get why people are so against it. Yep! This is a very touchy subject, but I will have my say. Foxhunting is a pastime for cowards, most of whom are reasonably well off. All it really is, is just another social occasion where a bunch of fucking inbred retards can get together at the weekend. If fox hunting is banned, then once again it is the ordinary people that suffer. There are a lot of jobs in the country indirectly involved with the hunt, and I dare say more than a few people taking part only do it to add to the otherwise inadequate wage packet from their full time job. If hunting is banned and those twats can’t hunt animals down and rip them to pieces anymore, then they will think of something else to spend their copious amounts of “spare” cash on at weekends. Where there is money there will be new jobs. It may be hard for this current generation of country people, but sooner or later this barbarity has to stop. Back in the 70’s and 80’s whole communities of hundreds of thousands of people (steel and mining etc), were systematically destroyed by various governments. The banning of Fox hunting wouldn’t even register the faintest blip on the Richter scale of pain compared with that upheaval. The only reason this debate has gone on for so long is not because Fox hunting is a legitimate part of country life, but because those involved in it have plenty of cash and are well connected.

To me it is simple; killing things for fun is not right - BAN IT!
+ Don't believe this social fabric crap either; child prostitution, empire and God knows what else were all part of the social fabric once..

Ironically the first song at yesterdays wedding was All Things Bright And Beautiful.
Hurting any living thing for fun or sport is not GOOD.
It's 2004 for Goodness sake. I can't believe we are even talking about this, it should not be happening. Full stop.Love and Light

The sooner the hunting ban comes in the better Then maybe the F***ing Urban Fox will bugger off back to the coutryside and maybe they can take the F***ing Squirrels with them too  As for being chased by dogs and having dogs barking and screaming at them, they love it I reckon it's some form of extreme sports for Foxes, they wouldn't hang around my garden otherwise, there are plenty of dog free gardens they could hang around in  I go to great lengths to enusre my dogs don't get the foxes but still they torment my dogs  They hang around until I let my dogs out then jump over next doors fence and when over there they will sit in view of the dogs casually glancing around as if to sahy yeah what you gonna do about it, while my dogs go into oone  I don't agree animals should be killed for sport , but 'I HATE FOXES' Mrs Fleagle  P.S. The squirrels have just trashed my bird feeders
