Cheers Alex. I've took a boat load of photies at the party, but I'm still not able to send them through to Klaus and get them on the site.

Sadly the TV&KID ones are all a little pale due to the red lights used on the stage.

What a night though, what a night. :D

Post subject: live in Leeds Dec 2004

Just joined today as a registered user - and wanted to say that the Christmas gig in Leeds with Richard was fantastic, TV was bouncing round the stage and delivered the set in his inimitable manner. The highlight for me was shouting for Cast of thousands which TV obliged and sang. Richard did extracts from his book (which I must buy-does anyone know its title and publisher?) which was hilarious and songs and even dueted with TV.
This was one of my best gigs of last year, i took a friend who had not heard of TV Smith but is now a convert and is buying his back catalogue. Has TV any plans to play Leeds/yorkshire area in near future?

It was a great gig, one of my favourite of last year. TV did a smashing set, and the duets with Richard Strange were also most brilliant.

Don't let Tj see this post, don't want him bragging about being the leader of converts!

I can't remember what the book is, Tj knows cos he's got it.

The book's called:

'STRANGE. The Memoirs of Richard Strange'
Published by Andre Deutsch Ltd, 2002
ISBN 0 233 999 91 4

And it's a great read!

Post subject: Big Thanks Ska

Too late Mart...

I've transferred these posts to the actual gig posts.

Glad you loved it Ska.

...And if you are the guy that requested Cast you are the bloke who got TV to introduce Richard to the stage and the start of 15 of the best monutes of my life. Thank you.

Of course I've already repaid the debt several years ago when I persuaded TV to play Cast live and acoustic for the first time. At first he told me it couldn't be done.

And just in case you missed it. Here's part of Richard Strange's latest Newsletter on TV&KID's Strange Bloody Xmas

On returning to the UK I did a one off evening with my old friend TV Smith (http://www.tvsmith.com/) (late of The Adverts) in Leeds, where we played songs both separately and together. It was a great evening, and to all of you who helped make it possible, and who travelled so far on a filthy night, THANK YOU!!! TV has always been a great song writer, and his performances are full of the most amazing zeal, commitment and integrity. He is an example to us all to keep the torch burning bright.

In 2005, a new CD will be released in the USA on 7 Records (http://www.7recordsmusic.com/News2/index.php). Entitled This Is War! The CD will feature a dozen songs written and recorded over the past couple of years. I hope you will enjoy it.

Thank you all for your emails, letters and messages of support. Who knows, I will maybe even do a few gigs in the Spring/Summer...!

Richard Strange

Check out www.richardstrange.com  NEWS  NEWSLETTER for a great photo of TV&KID. Well let's just say that someone is looking cool and the other a little silly. Check it out and buy This Is War...

...Or else!

...This cheaky photo which shows Richard in a somewhat better light than Teev, was unsurprisingly provided by a friend of Richard's.

Professional TV&KID Snaps
« Reply #172 on: June 11, 2005, 05:12:54 PM »
A professional photographer was at the gig and if anyone would like any professional large prints please let me know.

Many of the photo's are quite adventureous and use the lighting to create excellent effects.

There is a cracker of Teev and Richard and two cute ones where they congratulate each other on reaching the climax of Dance Of Death. I'm getting those three shots framed.
