FrenzBob's 'Junction' Pub TV Gig in Bristol on 2.09.05

Latest Gig Information.

Just a quick mention for an upcoming gig at Frenzbob's pub...
2/9 BRISTOL - The Junction. Stokes Croft, Bristol BS1.

Not sure about the details yet, but normal pub hours, extortionate ticket price, etc.
Cheers,
TV

Unfortunately it's a bit far for me BUT I might be good for some future Bristol dates after September as I expect to be in Wiltshire regularly from October....

Of course I also still need to discuss this with Fleagle, but as we are ships that pass in the night at the moment, I probably won't rendevous with him again until tomorrow night   (or is that  :D )

Bob

Sorry to say we will not be able to make it after all

I did get the time off, but something else came up for this evening, and due to living beyond our means we had to take the cheaper option  :)

Have a great time and get TV along again soon and hopefully it will be second time lucky  :)

Anyway, you've got Brighton to look forward to next week Mrs Fleagle, so it won't be too long til you see TV  8)

Alan, sorry to be so forward, but which part of Spalding do you hail from then? I was unfortunate enough to "live" (and I use the word very loosely   ) in Sutton Bridge, and went to school in Spalding ...

Spalding's a splendid town Pips!

I live just off the Pinchbeck road on a 'new' housing estate which used to be known as Freer's Field or something. I can't claim to be a native but I've lived here just over 5 years.

Josh, sometimes of this forum, lives near Sutton Bridge.

You must have been gutted to leave the area!

Cheers

Alan

That was a very speedy reply, I had no idea the bush telegraph got through to Spalding so quickly!

No, it wasn't so bad, I spose it's just when I go back now, it's a bit weird because in the days I was kicking about there, there were a few decent pubs, all of which seem to have gone    There used to be what we called "The Golden Triangle", which was The Good Companions, The White Hart on the marketplace and The Bar Bacchus ... Ah, THOSE were the days ...  8)

The bridge wasn't too bad either i spose, it's just my mater and pater took us off up there when I was 14 from living in the middle of London (Peckham to be exact) to living in the middle of nowhere with the next house 1/2 a mile up the road!!!  8O  :?  8O ) As I was only that age too, I had no way of getting out and socialising, so basically it turned me into the anti social old git I am today

Blimey, the memories of walking 2 miles down a little pitch black country lane every morning and evening in the Winter time to undergo the joys of a 15 mile journey each way to and from school are indelibly etched on my brain  8O

And of course once I got my first (unrestricted   ) 50cc Yamaha, the Holbeach marshes and Gedney Marsh (land of the werewolves  8O ) were my oyster ...

Ah the memories, as I said ... and most bizarre, I knew I hadn't been here for a while, but when I checked out my registration, I joined this site a year ago today!  8O Weird ...
