What an excellent question  :!:  :!:

TV has written songs about practically everything but I've never heard any to do with being a vegetarian  :?:
With all the health scares over in Uk with Foot & Mouth,Mad Cow Disease,Salmonela in Chickens,etc,etc.... you would think there would be plenty of material to write from   :?
As a vegetarian myself I would like to know if TV ever was tempted to aim a song at the big business that surrounds the food industry  :?:

Willing to bet that TJ,Klaus or Uli would know the answer to this one

Hi JS,

I can't think of one and I've often wondered why he hasn't especially when you see the awfull sights of piles of dead cows burning in Cumbria.

Nearest are probably Lies and Thin Green Line.

Hi JS,

Just re-read an interview with TV & Gaye in the archive section under Links for Animal Liberation.

TV quite clearly tells the interviewer that he hasnt written a song about this subject but may get round to doing this in the future.

I think thats you answer mate

Surely TJ, Free World has a much closer connection than the two songs you mention.

See you at Southwick.

GAWD! - We could really do with a questions section on the forum

Lies was the B-side to War Fever JS. It also featured on The Liberator an anti-vivisectionist compilation album.

It is one of TV's best songs (mind you he has boat loads of best songs).

Although it was never on a TV Smith album it is now available, from Ozit records, as a bonus track on the Channel 5 CD.

Incidently Smit and I saw the owner of Ozit records at out recent Greasy Trucker Richard Strange gig in Hebden Bridge (check out www.doctorsofmadness.co.uk for details.) Chris looked splendid in his Generation Y T shirt 8O  8O  8O  8O  8O  8O  8O  8O
