arrival time
« Reply #90 on: August 08, 2006, 12:09:03 AM »
I'm hoping to be around Blackpool on Thurs afternoon looking for a ticket ('cos I haven't bought one yet!) In previous years this hasn't proved to be a problem as I inevitably bump into somebody who has a spare ticket to get rid of at face value, so they don't get stitched by touts and nor do I.
Pump and Truncheon sounds good, I've not been in there (to my knowledge) and of course the Blue Rooms. I may go sightseeing (with my beer goggles) around my old favourites, although some are probably changed beyond all recognition.
See you all therre sooner or later!
Dim spark.

It's a deal.

I think we'll set off at 11:00a.m. rather than 10:00 Mart.

Please confirm that you have read this m8?

Sunday 1.55pm Jenny is doing a solo acoustic set, it is the first time she has done this, so plenty of support from some friendly faces would be good  :D

I should be around, I'll need a reminder tho, so feel free to hassle me and stuff. Doubtless I'll be drunk most of the time, unless I'm asleep or riding my bike, so make sure you get me to write the time down or something. It's been a long week, I've worked far too hard!
Here's to gettin' wasted!

Tj Sundown smugled TAFKAK in, Mrs F.

He was luck to get through security wearing that dahn mask, but he just wouldn't take it off! 8O

Time for him to sample some more Yorkshire ale me thinks!

I'll try and catch the Hurrican and get my eyes on GG on Sunday. Have to set of early as Mart and I will be back in Yorkshire that morning.

See you in the Pump and Truncheon around 2p.m. TUTS

Good Wasted lived up to it's name I'm well knackered!

TV was excellent; with the Garden Gang he got the biggest crowd I've seen so far for a TV Smith gig - and they loved him! Highlight for me was Bombsite Boy. Excellent! Then yesterday (was it yesterday?) TV's acoustic site got one of the biggest crowds of the weekend for the acoustic area and he rattled through the Red Sea set in fine style.

Brilliant weekend and great to see some many familiar faces; Klaus, Fleagles, TJ, Mart, Gareth, Steve the Fish, John, Punky Pete & his mate (sorry blank on the name, it's been a hard few days...), Peter (from Germany), Rancid Tom, Jock & Carol, Fred, Chris (of course!) and the other guy that I had long chats with but again I'm blank on his blooming name (sorry!). Have I forgotten anybody, probably.... Blimey it was a real gathering of the clans!

It wasn't a great place to video - the stage lights and the dry ice put paid to that, BUT here's TV's closing song with some great crowd shots at the end to give you a taster!

TV & 18 TUTS
« Reply #102 on: August 14, 2006, 01:45:44 PM »
Yeah! Alan, it was incredible when TV and Gaye where talking to 17 TUTS on the Friday night. Talk about a gathering! WASTEDbound!

Frenzbob made a special appearance. :D

...And then on Sunday I met up with Punky Pete at The Damned gig.

TV Smith and Garden Gang were awesome, I have never seen TV so much in control and so packed full of believe.

His full set of Red Sea plus GG's Eyes and New Day Dawning acoustic set on Sunday was mind blowing. He hadn't played New Day Dawining and New Boys since around '77.

Bought TV's new book too. To celebrate my 50th gig. :D

500 photo's to follow and they are just the ones taken by Cowboy Klaus!

TUTS of the week-end award went to...

FRED   :P

...What a star!

...And what a photo Klaus got of him in the Punch and Truncheon.

My award to band that I thought was better than I expected them to be was...

Slaughter & The Dogs. 8)

And the opposite...

Sputnik 2!

What a great week-end. :D

...And now I start working on my old affirmation...

"I am the calmness, patience and humility of the Lamb"

Great to meet you all again TUTS. :D
