Yes, I know I'm two years behind with this but I suppose you don't have to read this if you don't want to.
I truly love this album, two weeks of constant playing tells me this. I find albums usually tend to have lost their appeal after this length of time. However, there seems to be something new to discover with each playing. I must admit lyrics have never been that important to me previously in my music except perhaps for Fish-era Marillion (sorry!) and Maximo Parks A Certain Trigger (soundtrack to my divorce)., but what depth, intelligence and humour there are to these. I didn't expect the music to be as strong as it, the arrangements are superb and Tim Cross's thoughtful keys appear uncannily in just the right places.
Favourite tracks are Not in my Name, Second Class Citizens, You Saved my Life and ultimate fave Right Hands Rise (is that too many favourites?).
I now have in my possession NABD with MOTG arrving shortly. So I will no doubt raise some other long forgotten thread shortly.

We love reading posts about what 'new to the fold' TUTS think of TV's albums Bonehead. :D

Keep it up mate.

As for favs. Prior to the album I have to say that TV's acoustic Not In My Name is phenominal (you'll catch it if you wait long enough after Tim's disco at the end of Not A Bad Day) and I loved Second Class Citizen. When bought I had a track by track knock out battle whilst I was out cruising and The Good Times Are Back won best track on the album. The guitar work by Jamie Sleaze (the TV Creep) was awesome (ask Fleagle about that?). It's great as TV first played Good Times Are Back as the third song at the first EARTHBOUND gig at the Elland Brewery. 8)

Were you the guy who wanted to buy an Exploring Madness t-shirt from me at TV's merch stand (the stage) at Derby?

No, that wasn't me. I bought this album from the stage though.
I then asked if TV would sign it for me. He then spent quite a while searching for a pen just to sign my one item. This made him a pretty decent chap in my view.
The signed CD is now one of my prized possessions.

Ah! I remember him looking for the pen.

What areas do you go to gigs in other than Derby Bonehead?

Just had a change of life so getting back into it. Nottingham and Sheffield are handy. Looks like I might have to go to Birmingham to see The Cult.

Misinformation is a great album although I would add 'Bring the Bull Down' to the favs!

Nottingham is one of my gig going areas so hopefully see you at some point there - the Cult sound good, but I've probably exhausted my pass-out as I've just been to a lot of gigs!

MInd you it's possible I might go to Ian McNabb at the Rescue Rooms on 5th December.....

I'm quite fond of More Than This it has a great catchy little tune. :D

TJ

The Rescue Rooms is where we saw the Only Ones - right next to Rock City.

I am not sure what the tour is but my friend David is a big fan (you may remember!) and definitely going and is encouraging me to join him!

Good Times Are Back and Second Class Citizens are cracking tracks. I always throught Second Class would have made a great Adverts song.

At least we got Good Times are Back played by the two 21st Century versions of the Adverts. 8)

The albums also features new versions of two of Teev's best ever songs; Carrying On and Not In My Name.

Let's not forget Bring The Bull Down..... really catchy rock song with excellent lyrics. Hang on..that could be describing most of TV's songs. But it's still one of my faves from the album, plus 11 others. ;)
