TV and Garden Gang live in Shoreham 10.08.06
« on: August 09, 2006, 01:09:00 PM »
Hurrah, we are going to Shoreham to see TV tonight with the Garden Gang  8)

We were going to drive down but when Fleagle discovered they did Dark Star beer at the pub, he got himself into a bit of pickle, however, it looks like we should get to see all TV's set and the last train home, so Fleagle now gets both beer and music, perfect  :D

Alas bloody sister moved back up here a fortnight ago so knowhere to doss down locally

Anyone else going  :?:

And another huge suprise was that Jenny Hurricane is over here too, we have a creep after all  :D

Dahn at the Old Bull and Gate (la la la la la ...)

Thought we might have caught a few TUTS at The Bull and Gate, but didn't spy anyone ...  :(

Were you there and just hiding?

Excellent to hear the solo set and then the full band set with The Garden Gang  8)  It worked really well, and we were really impressed with all of the Gang, but Pamp particularly stood out as "giving it some welly"!

NOT so excellent that The Garden Gang had their van broken into and their gear nicked ...

Hope to get up to Blackpool and catch the Wasted gig, if not, maybe see some of you at upcoming gigs  :D

Oh, and apparently there might be a gig coming up in October at Ipswich Steamboat Tavern, so that's something to look forward to! (understatement   )

Uah, that's awful!  8O
If you treat foreign bands like this you won't get many visits...

But I'm glad to read you all enjoyed Garden Gang.  :D

Btw, in late '99 I was able to witness a Philip Jeays gig (supporting TV in Southwick or somewhere down there - Attila was the one organising it)! He reminded most people of Jaques Brel.  :o
Not bad.  8)
Just around the corner and miles away...

Philip Jeays is quite simply a singer songwriter genius. My first experience was also at that TV gig and I've been hooked ever since (as has TV).
He has produced 5 excellent CDs which all stand up in their own right.

I would strongly advise all TV fans to catch this guy live. He often plays in London, Brighton and the south. Miss at your peril!
