Pistols and TV gig in Germany
« Reply #15 on: July 31, 2002, 04:57:33 PM »
Hi Jock, Uli, etc.

Totally agree with you about the Pistols gig Jock - I've written something about it in my July 2002 - or 1977 post (which I now seem to have de-bugged).

I said ages ago that the TUTS should go to meet the G-TUTS (Have you guys agreed on a name yet?) and PK, etc. seemed to think it was a good idea.

How about a gig at the end of this year/start of next???

Cheers, Fred.

Uli

Perhaps you could help our planning toward a meeting in Germany with occasional items on German beers... just so we're prepared

Yes, some pubs do sell Guinness, but at least in my opinion it just doesn't taste like it does in London (not to mention Dublin)...  :(

If you come to Germany, there's many kinds of good beer to be had. You know "Beck's", it is available in England, but there's so many others. Many breweries in the south do a "Hefeweizen" (can't translate this, sorry) which you should try!!
The best one round here is (of course) "Ulrichsbier" (no, it's not by me, but it's really good, I do not just mention it because my name is on it)!!!  :)  :)  :)

Forgot to answer your second question:
I think it's just the standard one, not the extra cold (tourist type)!

But you should try other beers when you're in Germany!

Don't really know what's my favourite.
I like Beck's a lot, and it's always safe to get a bottled Beck's
when you are in a foreign bar and don't know what the other beer is like.
I did like a lot of the stuff at Southwick.
Though, I must admit, it could have been a little colder.

Southwick and Becks!
« Reply #28 on: August 04, 2002, 03:58:09 PM »
Talking of Southwick Klaus, I finally managed to get my camera problem sorted and will send the photos next week from work as my computer is not up to the job at home.

I remember getting a snap or two of us taken - me under the influence of a rather nasty virus (that I thought was food poisoning until it lasted three weeks) and you under the influence of Becks! It's not on my film - is it on yours or my mate Pete's?

Cheers, Fred.

Hi Fred,

good to hear you are well again! :D
All pictures I took are already on the site.
It must be Pete's film.
Would be great to see those pics. :D
