We should be at the Glasgow gig . Its a Wednesday night so that causes friction right away and Tim did mention its expensive for tickets ..15 each ! HHMm. are D M W worth 15 ? not convinced allthough they were OK at Wickerman a few yeas ago. so its Glasgow for us if anything .
Bloody hell !

Fleags,

Not sure yet... but it'll be one of the following

08/10 Norwich - unlikely, but....
17/10  Leeds - bit of a stretch
25/10 Worksop - the most likely one I'll attend

Cheers

Alan

Here's a review by someone called Bagpuss (from Damned board) on the gig in Liverpool:
Quote
Went to see DMW in Liverpool last night. First gig of tour, small-ish venue with about 200 in.

TV Smith was on first playing a selection of Adverts songs. Very enjoyable, bit of banter. He read a poem then played Gary Gillmore's Eyes. He finished with One Chord Wonders. He went down really well. Top bloke.

DMW came on all wearing suits.... including Cappy with red/black trainers and red laces! They opened with Runaway Boys. Kirk seemed to be having trouble with his guitar which was too quiet. I don't think he could hear it either. Such a shame as he plays some of the best riffs. In fact, Cappys bass was probably louder than his guitar!

Songs included Westworld, 45 rpm, Up for murder, Unsafe building, Strength, 68 guns, Stray cat strut. Captain sang Smash it Up and Neat Neat Neat, played guitar and sang on Glad It's All Over and they finished with New Rose. Captain played a verse of Wot on his bass following a request!

Highlight of the night was probably Transmission with Kirk on vocals. Pity about the quiet guitar as this song obviously has a great guitar line.

Lots of freindly banter from the crowd, good venue, great set and four top blokes. Mike Peters looked fantastic and sang perfectly. Captain, Kirk and Slim Jim did autographs/photos at the end.

Go see 'em kids.... you'll be glad you did....

Oooops, sorry, now you know maybe too much already, i.e. not as exciting anymore...

On the other hand, the setlists etc. of last years DMW tour is well known, so not too many surprises probably.

Anyway, enjoy it :!:
