I think the Tuts have done TV and DMW proud with the number of gigs that have been supported on this tour.

If it doesnt sound patronising well done guys and gals

Just need to get TV  another nationwide tour

TV states that Captain has shown him the secret passageways in the Fairfield.

Mrs F

Yes. We all got to see Captain's secret passageway at the end of the gig at Leeds.

Stumpy kindly gives us a lift back to Fleagleville and we finish off the last of the Homebrew along with some cheese toasties, (if TJ’s reading this you can change that to we jogged home and enjoyed a mineral water with some vegetable crudities).

Great review Sharon. :D

Just dug up one of Dead Men Walking's encore songs, performed with TV; Joy Division's Transmission, and put it on youtube if you're interested:

That's so awful it's hilarious! Some songs should be left alone.

FANTASTIC Alan. At last I got to see Mike Peters share a mic with TV. I'd been asking for that since...

Quote
Played Ian Hunter, Ian Mcnabb and Mike Peters on the drive down the A1/M18/M1. X raved about Rant by Hunter. He told me that that Ian Mcnabb had been spotted at one of his solo gigs. Ian Mcnabb was watching X one mouthed (probably those leg end ary leg kicks again!). Who knows maybe this inspired Ian to start his dynamic and entertaining solo acoustic tour in ’98! X and I continued to talk about all kinds of music during the journey. From Mike Peters (ex Alarm) and how his Punk band, The Toilets, once supported The Clash in Liverpool, to New Romantics like Duran Duran.

Had another chat with X. He told me that Kirk Brandon (Spear of Destiny/Theatre Of Hate/Dead Men Walking) had been in touch. Kirk told X that Mike Peters had said “if X wants to turn up at one of our Dead Men Walking gigs we will role out the red carpet for him”. Dead Men Walking also features Pete (Wah!) Wylie and Glen (Pistol) Matlock. I had the opportunity to see and meet Mike Peters in December and Mike confirmed his offer. Mike also said that he thinks that he saw The Adverts on the day Elvis Pressley died - you Gone Elvis On Me, Mike?

...And it so nearly happened again at Strummercamp in 2008.

TV did some acoustic versions of The Adverts songs, ‘Gary Gilmore Eye’s  We got a great rendition of ‘Bored Teenagers’,and a few new ones . He dedicated one  to Joe Strummer,  During ‘One Chord Wonders’ he was joined on stage by Captain Sensible, Henry Cluney & John Robb, who danced around the stage like teenagers and sang some backing vocals. GREAT FUN.

The story continues as now TV is on tour with Goldblade, who he did share a mic with at Strummcamp. :D

I posted all this because I just found out my Sales Coach Damian The Spartan was at the Leeds DMW / TV gig in 2006. The World just got smaller... ;)

Almost a great picture - if it wasn't for that knob next to Kirk!

Hang on a minute, knobs, next to Kirk? I'm sure I've heard about that before somewhere...
