There's a nice montage of picture sleeves by bands influenced by The Stooges - the first one to appear is 'Gary Gilmore's Eyes'!

Thanks for the recommendation, sounds good!  8)

New film already - I haven't even seen the Stooges flick, but the good news is: this is currently in german cinemas and (much to my surprise) my mate just emailed me that it will be on in Ulm (from Thursday)!  :o  :D

I went to see "Gimme Danger" yesterday (instead of going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on)...
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fgiW_S2Hgk
Trailer gives a glimpse of what to expect. It's a good film. Unfortunately I realised I'll never be as cool as Iggy.  :(  ::)  ;)

It was good to see it on the big screen and with that sound system (ok, some old live recordings are far from ideal, but the studio versions sounded great). Sad part is that so many of the old Stooges are gone already.  :'(
But it warmed my heart that the Asheton brothers had some kind of "happy end" with the "reunion" of the band.
Also, at some point, it made me realise what still draws me to "punkrock" (for lack of a better word!) and why (in a way of how I've lived my life and tried to be "in the moment" and not planning ahead too much).  :o (Also, how Iggy said he doesn't want to be "punk" or this and that, he just wants to be, resonated with me...)

(Btw, I also noticed the appearance of the GGE 7" sleeve in the scene about the "legacy" of the band. As mentioned above by Fred.)

Iggy Pop has filmed a new video for PETA as the star of his dog's daydream.

The shirtless punk icon plays an animated superhero who helps save a fox from a trap, a chained dog, a turtle crossing the road and a rabbit in the promo, scored by singer/songwriter Nick Cave.
