Possibly because of thier humour and actions or maybe it's because thier second album was a pile of pants.

I saw The Damned on the Music For Pleasure tour in 1978 and it was the gig where I started to turn my back on Punk Rock. I should have gone and seen the Four Chords tour.

I reaaly enjoyed New Rose and Damned Damned Damned. I bought one of the first copies with Eddie And The Hot Rods doing The Rat on the back cover. Loved it. :D

I did like Love Songs and thier later Grimley Fiendish and friends period.

Did you mean Java? I have no idea about the link to get Java, sorry.

But I can try and give you a direct link to the Official Damned message board (for which hopefully you won't need it).
If it doesn't work, tell me and I'll post the "promo" for your special gig there for you :!:

I tried to join The Damned forum Uli, but I had to sign up to recieving weeky emails from one of four choices. Sorry, but I'm not going to be forced into doing something like that.

I could view the forum so thanks for that. :D I put Smith, Doctors, Madness and Strange in search but nothing came up.

Please could you copy over what has been said about TV and the Doctors on The damned forum into TV & Kid Live In Leeds: A Strange Bloody Xmas 13.12.04 in TV Live? :D

Please could you also advertise the gig in the forum for me, TV and Richard and could you let me know the response. If you could get the flyer put up on The Damned site that would be fantastic. :D

Okay, I'll do that. Maybe tonight or tomorrow. Not sure about putting up the flyer though...

Anyways, I didn't have to sign strange things about receiving weekly emails when I got registered (back in 2002). But maybe ezboard have changed it since then.

Can't copy the old posts, as they are probably long gone, especially as you couldn't find them as well.

Thanks m8. :D

Can you remember what type of things they were saying about the Doctors and TV?

Sorry, I don't remember that much. I do remember a few people liked the interview with Vanian from the Doctor's Homepage (is that still there?), but not many people replied to the thread about it...

Also, as mentioned before, one guy said the Doctor's album incl. that track w/ Vanian wasn't worth it.  :(

And I remember quite a number of people were impressed by seeing TV live, e.g. at various punk festivals where The Damned also played.  :D

I saw them in a small venue for the first time on Monday night -
FAN-TAS-TIC!

Some surprises in the set - although only one new (to me at least) song "Magic Potion" and the inclusion of the Captain's "Jet Boy"!

What an atmosphere!

Miss them at your peril!!!!!

Sounds great Fred, sadly I will probably miss them on this tour.  :(

"Magic Potion" is apparently a 60's cover by I-don't-know-who...

Hopefully they'll record new stuff in the new year.  8)

C5, the reason why you never got into The Damned is simply because you were born to love and promote "Channel 5"!

Thanks for the info...

...and sorry you'll miss them. Patricia is obviously still on maternity leave too!

I've seen the Damned many, many times, but it was different being up the front in a crush at such a tiny venue.

Good point about C5 too - take a break C5 and listen to a GREAT band!

I'm off to see them with Tj, so hopefully it will be as good a gig as you saw Fred!

Nothing better than a good band, loud music, loads of people and a small venue!

8) Too right Mart. It's a high higher than drugs. Mind you the strongest drug I have ever taken is a pint of Baz's Bonce Blower.
