Itís an unavoidable fact that any reference to Glen Matlock usually has the words ďlegend,Ē ďiconĒ or ďpioneerĒ attached to it. And while the original Sex Pistol doesnít shy away from his past as a punk luminary, he isnít living in it, either.

ďI say, ĎF**k that, listen to the new record,íĒ said Matlock. ďThatís what Iím more interested in. The past is the past. It was so long ago I can barely remember it, apart from the fact that people ask you about it. I donít even think about it. I donít get up in the morning thinking, ĎOh, you used to be in the Sex Pistols.í Itís not like that. Iím more interested in writing a new song. Thatís what I find interesting is the sense of achievement somehow and how can I get from A to B. Itís a battle. I think basically my quest is to get people to think about what Iím doing now so I donít have to live in the past all the time.Ē
Just around the corner and miles away...
