Nice one Nick.

There's just three albums by the Doctors. All three are in my best top twenty albums of all time list. Marie & Joe, Billy Watch out, Mailines, Waiting and Network are good songs to start with (you'll probably find them on You Tube).

TV and Gaye used to go see The Doctors in the South West and in London. They were fans before Tv became a writing, singing and performing partner.

Of course that leads us to the TV & Richard 'Kid' Strange Raw Meat for The Missionaries demo's. ;)

...Check out Some Kind of War, Dance of Death, Last Human Being and Big Break live on You Tube.

Cheers for that Tj. I just know that I will like their music when I get around to listening.

Did you ever check The Doctors of Madness out Nick?

I've just made a fantastic CD cover for my Doctors of Madness and Richard Strange Doc acoustic CD I made called In Brilliant Blue Gardens. When you look at the images small print you can see it's from some merchandise sent to Joe Elliott who was later in Deff Leppard.

Hey! That's fantastic news Nick. One of my top five albums of all time along with the 80's Demo's, March of the Giants, Coming in to Land and Halfnelson aka Sparks by Halfnelson aka Sparks.

The CD version of the third album, Sons of Survival, features TV and The Doctors live on stage at the Doctors last ever gig singing Last Human Being in the World. The photo in the sleeve notes from that gig was the inspiration for the 'Just Exploring Madness' Explorers and Doctors of Madness re-union tour with TV, The Kid and Stoner that I arranged back in September 2006.

It put me in mind of early Cockney Rebel, probably due to the violin, but that is no bad thing in my book.  :)

The Doctors of Madness and early Cockney Rebel were two of TV's favourites too.

Cracking first two albums until giant ego's took over.

I see the recently married Richard Strange is now selling downloads on his new website of such wonders as the TV Smith and Richard Strange penned Don't Panic England (lead vocals by Dave Vanian of The Doctors of Madness) and all the Raw Meat for The Missionaries songs by TV and The Kid.

Hopefully Richard's saving up TV's share to buy him an awfully elegant Cwistmas pwesent.  :-*

Many thanks to Klaus. The Gary Kemp & Richard 'Kid' Strange video led me to a new interview with Strange which led me to discover that the original 1975 Doctors of Madness documentary film has been found. I know have watched it many times. Whilst the documentray was used to bury the band and take the rise out of the UK hyped up music industry and it's management we do get to see Britain's greatest ever band live on stage. And this is heaven sent. Oh! For a time machine.

Along with all the shots of The Doctors of Madness I loved seeing how much Bryan Morrison truly loved the band and their music. The majesty of Urban Blitz electic viola and the sublime bass playing of Stoner.

Kid Strange's acoustic version of Marie & Joe (the Worlds greatest ever love song) is a bonus delight.

Thank you Klaus.

Next up is the TV Smiith documentary. I watched my interview I did with Jamie for the documentary lst night. It always makes me smile.

It's really kind of Richard & TV to give the TUTS a half price discount on Monday.

If we can get enough notice me and Smit are aiming to go to a Cabaret Futura event that features TV. Real shame we missed this one...

Quote
Mon 14 May 12 LONDON - Cabaret Futura @ The Paradise
TV's second appearance this year at Richard Strange's London club night. Expect the usual eclectic mix of artists. Cabaret Futura is at The Paradise, 19 Kilburn Lane, Kensal Rise, London W10 4AE. Doors open 7.45pm Show time 8.15pm. 10.00, TUTS price and concessions 5.00

I've been playing a lot of new TV, Exploring Madness and The Doctors of Madness recently. It's good to be back.

Does that really say about 173,000 views. ...I thought it was just me?

With just a weeks  more notice me and Smit could have made it!  :-[

"My thanks to all of you who made it along to Cabaret Futura this week.  It was one of the best ever, with my old friend of 35 years standing, the great TV Smith, tore the house down with his songs, old and new.

What a joy to join  him onstage again for Back from The Dead. which we wrote together in 1977!!!

Phil Philmar, Shit Theatre, Ginger Light, Jeremy Reed, Fynn Farrell and Natasha Stewart all dazzled with their artistry

The next Cabaret Futura will be on June 18th."
