Does that really say about 173,000 views. ...I thought it was just me?

Not wanting to disappoint you, but some numbers are a bit up because of the spambots which visited this forum...
Surely even without those, this has gotta be one of the most popular threads, being updated again and again over the years!  :)

That's great. Spambots is the nickname of the 'Exploring Madness' TV, Kid and Stoner fan club.

From Mr Strange:

"My thanks to all of you who made it along to Cabaret Futura this week.  It was one of the best ever, with my old friend of 35 years standing, the great TV Smith, tore the house down with his songs, old and new.

What a joy to join  him onstage again for Back from The Dead. which we wrote together in 1977!!!

Phil Philmar, Shit Theatre, Ginger Light, Jeremy Reed, Fynn Farrell and Natasha Stewart all dazzled with their artistry

The next Cabaret Futura will be on June 18th."

Pinch me!!! I must be dreaming. Or am I Just Exploring Madness.

Quote
The first programme traces the scene’s origins in mid-Seventies pub rock, going beyond bands like Dr Feelgood to uncover priceless footage of legendary oddballs such as Doctors of Madness and Ducks DeLuxe. During those pre-punk years, TV Smith, later the singer-songwriter for the Adverts, struggled to find a voice, like countless other future punk heroes, until the Sex Pistols opened the door for him.

Great to hear the Strange one with the dome on TV's awesome documentary. 8)

The only problem with the documentary is that it was part one of a killer trilogy. ;)

How STRANGE was BBC4 this week-end? TV Smith's We Who Wait & #PunkBritania were ace.

...Was that a young @StrangeRichard in The Damned crowd?

So pleased and proud that Jamie chose the Leeds Just Exploring Madness gig that I arranged as the grand finale for WE WHO WAIT.

Just found this one remaining on line Exploring Madness live at The Leopard photo of Ian's on my old My Space site...

Hard to believe TV's back playing at The Leopard in Doncaster in September. The place that dreams come true if you DARE TO DREAM them.

Of course the great revalation at Earthbound Hope was finding out from TV who the first chosen replacement guitarist for Howard Pickup in The Adverts was.  :o

Yes, it's true. Richard Strange was the first named Adverts replacement guitarist for Howard Pick Up. Richard was also once given lead vocalist in The Dammed to replace the man he was Best Man for.

Which leads me in to how exciting it's been playing Raw Meat for The Missionaries again.

Torpedo is the TV Smith song that has grown most rapidly for me. Amazing lyrics. How did TV assess so much true wisdom at such an age?
