I'd have thought you would have covered that from petty cash TJ!

Seriously, "holding the fans to ransom" like that is a bit off as this ISN'T a reunion show, but the debut of a Richard Strange project. It looks like the band isn't getting back together as it wants to play together again/headline its own show, but that its being used to fund the other project. It would have been better if they were playing their own show at a rock venue.

Yellow card I think!

(Who says I can't be topical!)

By the way, you said that all FOUR original members will support Richard? Does that include Twiggy? I hope so as I always had a "soft spot" for her - before I was even old enough to understand why!

It is good news that the original line-up is willing to do the show.

I'd have thought you would have covered that from petty cash TJ!

Yeah come on Tj, open your wallet, to make all the Doctors' fans happy!  ;)  ;D

Yep! You got it Fred; it's Twiggy, Stoner, Urban Blitz and Peter Dilemma.

True guys. I'd be up for sorting out the show financially.

However, you can guarantee that Mrs Sundown would not be at all up for this so it will not be happening.

Update June 2014

Doctors to reform for Burroughs night?

There's something behind those rumours, people. All parties have conditionally agreed, depending on targets being reached for Richard's upcoming Kickstarter-funded project, Language Is A Virus From Outer Space - 'a radical interpretation of the Life and Work of William Burroughs by two giants of their fields - Richard Strange and Gavin Bryars' which is scheduled for October 11th. More detail as I when I hear it! Kickstarter particulars here.

In the meantime, artist Lilias Buchanan has captured Strange on canvas rather impressively.

There's no mention of the Doctors of Madness on her website... someone is cheating on us here!

Do Dreams Really Come True?

Just 3K to go.

It's looking that this show might actually happen.

Let's all be The Doctors of Madness.

DARE TO DREAM: In 2006 I fulfilled my dream of reforming the line up of Richard Strange, Stoner and TV Smith for two Exploring Madness shows at Doncaster and Leeds. My dream became extra special when I sang The Servant with TV and Stoner from TV Smith's Explorers and lead vocals with Richard 'Kid' Strange and Stoner of The Doctors of Madness on the third verse of Suicide City. The Doctors of Madness are my favourite even UK band (TV Smith's Explorers are second). Sometimes dreams really do come true.

Thank you Richard 'Kid' Strange, Stoner, Urban Blitz and Peter Dilemma for making another dream come true.

I'M IN RICHARD.

Time to bring The Doctors of Madness BACK FROM THE DEAD.

Ok, I'm guessing it's circa 180,000 spambots. 5000 regular viewers of the forum (not all registered or even posting), 466 registered users and 20 active forum members (many of us clicking this again and again with new replies, adding up to 1000 views)...  ;)

So, this is Saturday 11th October?

I'll probably be at the Year Zero punk festival in Wakefield with TV, The Damned, The Beat, The Members, etc.

Shame about the timing.
