So, this is Saturday 11th October?

Good question. I looked through these posts here, no mention of the planned date at all.  ???

If you go to the Pledge page it seems to imply that date.

Yes, that's the only place I found that date too. Bit "rare", considering the amount of posts on the reunion.  ;)

Ah! The irony. I'll be leaving Yorkshire to watch the one gig reunion of The Doctors of Madness, whilst TV and Dave Vanian who both sang with The Doctors play a Punk gig a few miles from my home.

Don't Panic England.

Which reminds me, mega congratulations to Germany on deservedly wining The World Cup.

If someone had said to me a year ago that there was a chance of a mini Earthbound followed the next day by a region of the UK's greatest ever band. Yes, even better than TV Smith's Explorers and The Spiders From Mars! I'd have eaten my hat.

Fingers crossed Fleag.

Driving down to that London an idea about Earthbound came to me. We could have two types of Earthbound gigs to help TV make this concept work and have the best of both Worlds for all TV's new and old fans.

Quite fitting this topic, I found a blog/article (apparently based on the "Miniatures" compilation feat D.Vanian), in which there are photos/details about the wedding of Vanian & Laurie with R. Strange as best man:

Quote
For their marriage they were resplendent in full vampiric black outfits, particularly striking as it was held in one of the most boring, dreary city halls imaginable, located in Acton, West London, complete with boring, dreary councillor officiating. Richard Strange (singer of Doctors of Madness) was best man – at the last minute he was instructed that a tie was required, so he improvised with a page from a copy of Womens’ Own magazine found in the waiting room, stuck on with chewing gum:

Somebody keeps posting pictures of Dave and Laurie on the Unofficial Damned Nonsense FB page.

Have to say if someone kept posting pictures of me with my first wife I'd get pretty pissed off. :)

Don't think DV sees (m)any of those posts. Also, he would know that those pics exist, so what...
Btw, people also post pics of him and Patricia.  8)

Had a message in from Richard that The Doctors of Madness reunion show is planned to be between 30 and 40 minutes long.

Rehersals are going well.

Getting excited.

It's looking like that was the final Doctors of Madness gig last night. Most of their greatest songs were played. Ace to hear Urban's electric violin again.

As for the rest of the show, I feel Fred was on the right track.

Well, did you enjoy it (reunion and the other parts of the show)? Was it sold out?
