Wise Words From Jeremy
« Reply #31 on: April 20, 2002, 01:12:02 AM »
Hi TVers and DOCers,

Here is a guy who knows what he is talking about :D

Quote
yes the show really did come alive when TV Smith came on but I
think he only sang/played on the jointly written numbers: Making
Machines, Who cries for me and .....

The rest of the gig was just a 3 piece. I actually don't think
it went on for as long as RS intended though. I know they didn't
play Doctors of madness cos' RS nearly broke down when they were
about to start it/or when people shouted for it. It just seemed
to peter out.

I saw the Doctors one other time as a 3-piece (+ Dave Vanian).
they were much tighter than at the final gig and yes RS was the
only guitarist.

However, they were so much better as a chaotic 4-piece.

BTW has anyone noticed that Urban Blitz/s photo is on the sleeve
of Into the Strange

Jeremy

Last Human Being (In The World)
« Reply #32 on: April 20, 2002, 09:08:19 PM »
Hi TVers and DOCErs,

My reply to Jeremy - just posted on www.doctorsofmadness.co.uk :D

Any chance of adding that link and www.richardstrange.com LINKS to the ARCHIVES Klaus (pretty please). Hugh has added TV Smith to the Doctors links :)

Hi Jeremy,

The song your thinking of is the superb Last Human Being for the
amazing Strange TV Demo's 'Raw Meat For the Missionaries'.

Yeah I wondered why Urban blitz was on the cover.

The pic looks like it was from the Sons Of Survivor photo shoots,
which is coincidently the CD that features the Strange TV live
version of Last Human Being.

Hi TUTS and G-TUTS,

For those turning up earlier to watch the incredible Richard Strange you can check out his latest work by linking in to www.doctorsofmadness.co.uk Then go into LINKS and scroll down to 'Happiness, Richard's latest on Vitaminic' and click into Richard Strange's new Happiness recordings entitled All Banged Up! :D

The Time Is Now was my favourite track of 2001 :D

All together now "Happines, Happiness the greatest gift that I possess"

Strange Going On In Southwick?
« Reply #36 on: April 25, 2002, 05:42:33 PM »
Hello,

Has anyone yet found out the time that the worlds greatest songwriters are appearing on stage at Southwick. I know the approximate time for TV Smith, but there appears to be some variation as to the appearance of THE GREAT STRANGE.

Thank you in anticipation.

Hi TJ,

Would like to see Richard perform but only have Saturday evening tickets and am constrained by what time my "passengers" are ready to head down.
No doubt you will tell us all about it and with a bit of luck you can persuade Richard to stay on for TV's set.
Does Mr Strange like beer  :?: Maybe you can introduce him to some of your strange northern concoctions   that should keep him busy for a few hours

Either way sounds like fun  :P

Strange On Stage
« Reply #39 on: May 04, 2002, 11:06:21 AM »
Thanks PK - that's a shame I was hoping at least Klaus would get to see Richard Strange live

Hi Kid - I've emailed Attila for the on stage time for Richard. His wife replied and Attila is away at the moment. When he returns she will get him to look into it :)

Thanks Attila,

There are a couple of dozen TV Smith and Richard Strange fans coming to Glastonwick. These are mainly the TUTS (TV UK Tour Supporters) from all over the UK and Germany. Is there any chance of extending TV and Richard's sets. We would all most appreciate it.

Also there is some confusion between the Glastonwick site and www.richardstrange.com When exactly is Richard Strange on stage.

All this and loads of quality ales - can't wait. See you their Attila.

Tj

Hi TJ,

Maybe I should amend my last post  :?

Said I was constrained by my passengers requests but at the moment I dont know what Klaus and especial TV are planning. If TV wants to get down early to make a day of it and see Richard and Klaus is of similar mind then as far as I'm concerned we leave earlier, tough on the other passengers I'm afraid they'll just put up with going earlier.
Major concern would be tickets for the afternoon session. I only have evening session tickets assume everyone else coming with us has the same.
Maybe we can name drop or say we are TV's roadies to get in to the afternoon session

Maybe you'd like to comment on this Klaus  :!:

Hi PK & TJ,

Last word I heard from Attila is that he put me on the guest list for both sessions. But since that I couldn't reach him anymore as my mails were returned to me. Wanted to ask him if he could reserve tickets for Simse and Jürgen.
(Looks like I am not the only one struggling with server problems then :| )

I would really like to see the afternoon session.
I got an offer from TJ to pick me up earlier in order to see Mr. Strange.
Think it would be a good idea to do this. I would see Mr. Strange, PK would have one person less to worry about ( at least for that trip  ).

Hi Klaus,

Not a problem to take you down early to Southwick.

Would probably be best to sort this out on the 30th at the Verge gig.
Then I would know for definate what time TV wants to go down for and structure everything around that.

This should'nt be overly complicated It's just to early yet to sort out properly. First UK gig's not to long away so wont have long to wait now.

Hi Klaus and PK,

Good  PK to sort travel out nearer the date at least we know that Klaus won't be without a lift :D

Dick Strange 8O is on at 3:00 pm and not 2:00 pm so that should help and yippee they are now on for 1 hour 5 minutes which is much better than the 40 minutes TV predicted :D

Bet you didn't know that my nickname at school was Taxi 8O
