Hugh Cornwell News
« on: January 08, 2009, 05:58:40 PM »
Hugh Cornwell, legendary song-writing talent and live performer, embarks on a 27 date UK tour. Hugh is joined by Caroline Campbell [bass] and Chris Bell [drums] who performed on his latest album Hooverdam.

Hugh himself says, 'I can't wait to get Hooverdam on the road now, it's been a long time coming, and it will be the first time I have ever played an album in its entirety... there'll be some old faves to follow it, of course!'

Released by Invisible Hands Music, the album is available to _download completely free_ as high quality DRM-free MP3s from www.hooverdamdownload.com. The album takes physical form as a digipak which features Hooverdam plus the DVD of Blueprint, a feature-length film that revolves around a live performance of the whole Hooverdam album, recorded at the legendary Toe Rag Studios where the album was made and interspersed with interview footage from writer and broadcaster Robert Elms.

I know, I know... Was just an "echo" of typical comments when TV announces a German tour.  ;)

I see that Hugh is playing some dates in the UK on November at which his band will play all of his latest "Hooverdam" album and then all of the first Stranglers album. I must get a ticket:
