It does not really go into the matter that deeply in the book so I will reserve judgement. What we need is a proper TV Smith biography or auto-biography to know what really happened.

Yeah, well I'm guessing it was a decision made by the band and their management all together, no matter how much one of them was or is a fan of TV's previous band...

I suppose so. But I cannot think of why they would drop the Explorers after only a few dates unless there were some personal fallouts between various band members.
