One wonders if he will stay to the end..

At the Liverpool signing of the hardback, he left the table after about 20 mins to go to the loo and didn't go back..

I'm amazed that you can still get tickets for the 100 Club event. Word must have got round about his extended "comfort break" Phil!

Lydon doesn't actually listen to much punk music. The Buzzcocks, Magazine, X-Ray Spex, the Adverts, the Raincoats: "Those, I liked. They were skirmishing on the outside of it rather than the typical slam-dunk bands that drove me nuts, because they all sounded the same."

Nice one, Johnny!  8)

Sex Pistols' guitarist Steve Jones gave you the "Johnny Rotten" nickname because of how your teeth looked. Why on Earth would you let that stick?
Because it was funny! "Johnny Rotten" was hilarious! [Laughs] I didn't see any insult with it at all. I said that was great, yippee-ay-oh.

There was a time when you couldn't use the name.
I was going through a [lawsuit] with the management of the Pistols and they were claiming ownership of my nickname. That's the kind of childishness that really unraveled something that I thought was rather fucking special. And all the childishness really came from the management. It's a sad thing, but sometimes adults let the kids down not the other way around.

A video of John's recent sold-out book event at the 100 Club is now online via QA Live. Rather than being an interview John (with the help of host Miranda Sawyer) takes lucky dip questions from the packed audience. As John remarks there are more people there than when the Pistols played there...
