The post Channel 5 album of demo's I'm calling New Discoverers.

This album would have been released in 1983 by TV Smith's Party Line.

Downbeat
I Already Have Your Heart
Little Knocks
New Discoverers
Newshound
One Of Our Missiles Is Missing
She's Losing You
The New You
Trans-Time
Trojan Horse
Wedding Dress

Free bonus single

Lucky Us
Finger of Fassion

What an album that would have been. If only the world had been listening.

With the exception of Trans-Time this second batch of demo's flow with consistent class. Cool

So how does Sparkle in the Mud compare with The Party Line album I worked out from the pages of Your Ticket Out Of Here and Klaus's Lost in the 80s...

BE BRAVE
PARADE
THE IMPOSSIBLE PERSON
IMPULSE BUY
OPEN UP YOUR HEART
BREAK UP THE PARTY
WHEELS OUT OF GEAR
CARRYING ON
PEOPLE DON'T KNOW
BEAUTIFUL BOMB
NEW WAYS ARE BEST

GET IT OFF YOUR MIND
TODAY
NEW DISCOVERERS
DOWNBEAT

MAKE YOUR ESCAPE
LOSING YOU
WEDDING DRESS

LAND OF PLENTY
MY TROJAN HORSE
ONE OF OUR MISSILES

Downbeat
I Already Have Your Heart
Little Knocks
New Discoverers
Newshound
One Of Our Missiles Is Missing
She's Losing You

The New You
Trans-Time
Trojan Horse
Wedding Dress

This time its 6 out of 10.

I totally had to guess when TV reorded Today and Get It Off Your Mind which were found earlier this century under a bed.  Grin

The key difference between my list and TV's is that mine is based on when we think they were recorded and TV's in on the order of when they were actually written.

The New You
Trans-Time

I gotta ask: what happened to those demos? Will they be included on "Sparkle..." Vol.2?
Quite a while ago I heard "The New You" live and really enjoyed it.  Smiley

My lists were based on Dave Thompson's books Uli and in rough order of when they where first played. TV's listing for the demo's is in order of when they where written.

I personaly feel you can be pretty confident about the excellent New You and Trans-time (not a particular favourite of mine) either being on Volume 2 or on the Volume 2 downloads.

I'd love TV to follow Fred's great idea and call volume 2 'Diamonds in the Rough'. Cool

Volume 2 would proably also feature the other great Party Line live tracks like TV's most sublime love song; I Already Have Your Heart and the other great 'never give in' song Little Knocks.

...And possibly The Newshound. Shocked

Thanks for the info, I hope so!  Cool
Yeah, of course TV's listing should be the one that counts.
