I've been networking with Andy from White Dolphin films so rest assured I'll find out from him (or Jamie Palmer who made the 'Uncharted Wrecks of Wonder' documentary) and let you know TUTS.

I only found that link looking for photo's for the five decades of the TV Smith legend posts. :D

Hm, judgigng from the names mentioned (people who were interviewed), it seems like "Uncharted Wrecks of Wonder" might have been re-titled?  ???

Maybe this was the original name. I much prefer 'Uncharted Wrecks of Wonder' as a title.

I've emailed Andy and Jamie, so let's see what they say.

You know me, Uli, I don't like to assume so I open the dialogue and question for true clarity. ;) ;D

Good idea. Hope they'll reply before January, otherwise we'd have to wait.  ;)

Guess they're all working titles and the final title will be "THE TV SMITH DOCUMENTARY".  ;D

Yeah! That's a better title, Uli. The Cheap one reminds me of the Useless joke. Funny for five minutes and then you are stuck with a Useless album title forever.

Mind you Falling Talent Downes would have been a fun name for my business. ;D ;D ;D

Well, we'll have to wait for Tj's emails to be replied to.
My guess is it's still at the "almost finished" status.  ;)

My guess (as White Dolphin haven't replied yet) is that Uli is probably right that 'Cheap' is documentary under another title...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4BvgKRr5Ec

I personally hope 'Cheap' is not a new title as I vastly prefer the Advertesque 'Uncharted Wrecks of Wonder' title. I can't see why you'd use a title linking the video to the period where TV has his least visibility this side of the 80's demo's and word cheap attracts the purchase of something of value about as much as the word Useless.

The Adverts sell TV Smith. These days TV Smith (and his link to Die Toten Hosen) sells TV Smith. Sadly Cheap were what they said on the tin and TV didn't shift much product in the mid to late 80's and early 90's.

My understanding about the documentary from Jamie and Andy is that it is finsihed. They just need to find a backer. I've put Andy with a graphic design and marketing consultant I know who loves music as I thought he might be able to help get this must see documentary released.

Does anyone else know anything about finding backers and marketing? ;) :-*

I can't wait to see this!
