I was chatting to Chris Payne (bass player of The Members) who ran into a friend of his who confirmed he's been asked to play guitar for Ruts DC on the proposed dates.

And the name of Chris's friend? None other than...

Leigh Heggarty. Grin

Now that's nice!

Not confirmed, just a proposed idea, but a definite possibility being discussed....

Dates by a sort of 'supergroup' comprised of..

JC Carroll (The Members)
Nigel Bennett (The Members / The Vibrators)
Rat Scabies (The Members /The Damned)
Segs Jennings (The Ruts /Ruts DC)
....possibly others.

I'll let you know if this happens. I do so hope it does. Grin

Ruts DC have confirmed that thier first album, 'Animal Now', is finally getting it's first ever official CD release in June. Remastered, new liner notes and a couple of extra tracks (7'' tracks).

Whether 'Rhythm Collision Vol. 2' will be out before, after, or at the same time isn't yet mentioned.

I love this underrated album and I can finally put my ropey vinyl rips to bed. Grin
