COMING IN TO LAND ( LP2011)
« on: October 27, 2010, 12:36:20 PM »
Finally, as promised, here's a little info about TV's next album full of brand new songs.
Everything is still "tentative" at this point in time, so subject to change.

TV told me this new album should be out before the second part of the "80s demos" collection!
Recordings are (almost) finished. Tim Cross and Vom Ritchie are both involved.  8)

Ten of twelve tracks are already known to us fans through being performed live:
Us and them
Deactivate Autoslave
Worn Once
Probably
True Believers
Dawning of false hopes
Complaints Dept.
Man Down (in Martino)
Coming in to land
A Trouble to yourself

This is my 5900th post, so I thought it should be "special".  :)

I've already told Teev my favourite choices of re-recodings. Fingers crossed. :D

If we are talking about re-recordings, then I would like to see Impulse Buy, as It is one of my faves from Sparkle.  :)

I totally agree 'Impulse Buy' would be excellent - and I also like Gabumon's idea of 'Make Your Escape'... definitely looking forward to this one!

Well, I know which old song was re-recorded (and it's not Impulse Buy or Make Your Escape, sorry folks)!
With "No Message Please" and this we have reached 12 tracks (which are tentatively supposed to be on the final album).  8)
More later, to keep you all on your toes.  ;D

So today I will reveal which old track has been re-recorded for the next album!
It is a song found by "our own" Gabumon on an old Cheap tape! Well done, mate!  8)
HEADHUNTERS is the name of it.
Looking forward and all that.

This was posted by Nick elsewhere, I thought it fits in here:

Cool vid of Complaints dept Uli. I love that song. TV performed it at the southampton gig along with Worn Once. If those two songs are anything to go by then his new cd will be up to the usual brilliant standard. I think everyone will agree that TV Smith has never issued any sub-standard material ever.

Indeed. Different sounding as they are, each of his albums has something going for it.
I heard about 8 of the new songs, the NEW album really should be great as well!
Wonder what it'll sound like... more punk, more acoustic? Or something else?

Headhunters, I have not heard that song. Is there any footage of TV performing it anywhere? I am really looking forward to the new album. I feel like a child waiting for christmas  :)
