Going to tonight's gig.
Anyone else?
Well...although nobody replied to my post, I'm pleased to announce that this was a well-attended gig, not just by J.Public, but at least a handful of TUTS

I'd kind of expected the Fleags to be there and, indeed, they were. Not only that, they got me in for nothing, as they had a couple of 'spares'. Tried to buy them a pint each in return, but the beer was so poor that they could barely pick one out. And then, surprise of surprises, Alan (and a pal) showed up, too!
(Almost) every SE London punk I know showed up as well, which was great to see, too .
The venue has been altered to better suit bands since previous visits. The bar has been moved back, allowing more moshing to occur - something that was to prove very necessary as the gig progressed. Never seen such a large percentage of women in the ruck and maul at the front before - at least 60%. Odd, but not in a bad way.
Anyhoo... Eastfield were good - better than when I saw them at the 12 Bar and got a good ovation, and The Spivs were very young and Ramone-tastic. I'd watch either again.
Then an older gentleman and some Italians took to the stage...
You don't really need me to tell you how good they were, but they were and the rest of a knowledgeable audience knew they were, too.
Set (which I got a copy of and gave to the Fleags) as follows:
21
Safety In Numbers
We Who Wait
New Church
Up On The Roof
New Boys
On Wheels
My Place
Television's Over
I Surrender
Male Assault
Bombsite Boy
Great British Mistake
Gary...
One Chord Wonders
Bored Teenagers
Coming In To Land
Xmas, Bloody Xmas
The Good Times Are Back
A great night - even Alan got 'moshed' by a girl at the front!
