I'm not so sure about your new romantic aversion Fred - did I see a trace of eye-liner last night?

Thanks for uploading the clip, Alan...how much of the gig did you record?

The Warwick show yesterday was excellent too...one slight downer is that neither of the two shows I saw featured Red Scab (my personal favourite Adam and the Ants song!) but it didn't really matter.

Highlight of the night though was the person standing behind my wife who first of all complained about his bottle of Peroni being put into a plastic glass at the bar and who said after the band had played the Dirk album, Plastic Surgery, Beat My Guest and Christian Dior, "I don't know any of these songs"...

I'm not sure about the prospect of Adam touring the Kings album...there's about four decent songs on it and I'd happily pay extra for him not to play Los Rancheros or Jolly Roger amongst others. I guess it'll depend on what other songs he plays - Press Darlings and Kick were notable by their absence on this tour, although when you look at Adam's back catalogue, in total there's about 15 songs from the 77-79 period that were absent.

Adam's very touchy about being called a 'New Romantic' Fred!!

Yep, there were a lot of people in Nottingham who clearly expected "Prince Charming" to turn up rather than punk rock Adam - lots of "What the fuck!" faces at various points throughout the evening. Bit of a hoot really, especially the two women who looked more suitably dressed for their staff Xmas party!

If Adam doesn't want to be called a new romantic he should have left his Mum's tea towels in the kitchen and not wrapped them around various parts of his anatomy. He made Sp*nd** B*ll*t look like a load of builders!

Phil, I recorded almost the whole gig bar a couple of songs, but I was a bit disappointed with the sound quality which is why I haven't loaded anything else - but I'll check through the end of this week and maybe post some more (I've a bit of a busy start to the week so won't have a chance until then)

Sounds like the CD that was played before their set at the Rescue Rooms was Adam's own as it was also played in Coventry with the band starting up half-way through 'the passenger'..

Adam Ant has hinted that he will tour the 'Kings of the Wild Frontier' era material later in the year when the Deluxe re-release is due out.

Oh. O.K.
I wasn't there but someone who was told me he just hinted.
No confirmation on-line though.

Adam said it at Islington last year as well but fortunately decided to tour Dirk instead! A Kings tour should please Mr 'Plastic Glass Peroni' from Coventry and also the woman at Brighton that my wife heard say "he didn't play any of his good songs" after the gig there...

I'm guessing that he's started remastering Kings already as there was a Kings/Antmusic single for Record Store Day this year - the remastered Dirk album was issued on Record Store Day last year.

I can vaguely remember The Passenger being played when the band came on at Brighton too...
