They've always been good when I've seen them. They're at Rebellion too this year.

Wish The Bellrays would play here a bit more often but don't blame them for not doing so.

Every time they play here, I get the feeling they are not looked after very well by either promoter, venue or, more unforgivably, the crowds.

Great band

Thanks slaughterboy, I heard their name so often, but never managed to catch one of the gigs... Got to admit I go mainly to see The Nerves (and pay their guitarist for sending me their latest cd), but it's a great opportunity to catch 2 bands at once.  Smiley

Love The Bellrays but I've never seen them live. One day I must rectify that.

I hope to do so tonight! Will let you know how I liked them (and the new version of The (german) Nerves).

Good gig last night. The Nerves rocked the house first. Played their new album, which sounded great live (good job from the man on the mixing desk btw). The new girl singer has an incredible haircut (huge mohawk) and a good voice (plus other talents, incl. singing 2 songs in Japanese!).  Cool
This is a video from their show at the same place last year (sorry it's a bit dark):

Pic now available:

The Bellrays were very good as well. Especially on the faster rocking tracks the band was incredibly tight, like a well-oiled engine! Singer has a great voice too. However they were much better when they rocked hard (in 60's punk style), the more soul/funk inspired songs were a bit lost on me.

Not a band, but a place I visited today. I loved it on my last visit in 1977 too:

Walkabouts were great again, certainly one of the best live bands I've had the pleasure to hear/see.  Cool
