I've just seen on the BBC website that Mark E. Smith has died aged 60. No other details.

nice tribute to M.E.S. on last night's match of the day- him reading the football results a few years back, edited to match yesterday's results. And thisafternoons programme had hit the north at the end accompanying City's goals. Sad news- The Fall hadn't made a decent album in years and the current lineup sucked. Their earlier output had many moments of genius though.

R.I.P. Sophie Lo.  :(
Quote
It Is with an enormous amount of sadness and not a little shock that we must inform you of the death of Sophie Lo in January this year. We have only just found out via her aunt. So would often take off on adventures and return emails months later with tales to tell.. 'So' was a hugely talented designer and worked with us designing all our album covers for our new VipVop label giving it a unique style and vibe, with her superb covers by Chuck Berry, Wanda Jackson, Vince Taylor, she also designed our L7 'Wireless' & 'Palladium' Lps covers, TV Smith and the Montecristos Neal Whitmore debut album cover amongst many others . She was always a pure joy to work with we will miss her terribly . we have no details yet whatsoever I'm afraid. I cant believe I'm writing this .. .... very sad
