Well last night TV overcame the not inconsiderable handicap of having the Valentines stuck in Frankfurt airport at gig time... But he managed to find Leigh and Pascal and their did an acoustic turn on the main stage.

Happily the crowd lapped it up and there were huge chears and the crowd stayed with him. A triumph!

Tonight a bonus TV on the main stage again- the Valentines arrived 1.00am this morning. So 2 main stage appearances + he's doing a song with Paranoid Visions tonight and One Chord Wonders with Pascal tomorrow plus he's own acoustic set. Oh I almost forgot the book reading too and Gaye interview - quite a weekend for TV!

Well another assured performance -  despite their 5 hours in the Airport the Valentines were on top form leaving me and a few others a sweaty mess in the mosh pit!

It seemed to me that the band now know the songs so well that they are able to put more of their own stamp on them. As I limped to the Bar two blokes I hadn't seen before, but had obviously admired my dancing prowess, stopped me and said "That was a real highlight - such passion!" And no, it wasn't my moshing they were referring to.

Cheers, Alan: lucky one to be a witness of this performance!

Forgot to mention TV also played with Paranoid Visions which was an extra treat even if they were a little shambolic!

Now it's off to the Pump & Truncheon to create Clarat before catching TV's final performances of the weekend!

Just back from Blackpool, could only go sunday this year but it was an awesome day, Great to meet up with Alan, Fred and Gareth again and have a great laugh with them at the pre-gig piss-up in the Pump and Truncheon!  TV came on as last number guest for Start and they did a great version of One Cord Wonders so that made up a little for me missing TV with The Valentines the day before. TV had to do the set with The Valentines on sat and not friday because they had missed their connection at Frankfurt Airport by 30 seconds so he had to round up Leigh and Pascal and do an accoustic set instead in the Main Ballroom- Fred was telling me it went down a storm and there were more people in the room at the end than at the beginning !
Superb set by TV on Sunday to a very packed accoustic stage bar, hopefully Alan will post a song or two.

It was good to see you Chris - sorry I missed you at the end! Also great to see Gareth, Fred, Jock, Kalle, Jamie, Steve & Melissa, Tony, and TV of course!

I didn't seem to have much chatter time this year - a combination of too many bands and poor stamina..... but still good to have a brief catch-up!

Highlights for me? TV's various sets naturally, Snuff, Healthy Junkies, the Spivs, Cyanide Pills, Captain Hotknives, Dirtbox Disco, Ginger, 999, Altered Images (the last act and I was ready for something mellow...) and actually the other 35 bands whose full set I watched.....

Definitely punked out now
