I too loved the start and the wise words of The Strange one with the dome.

The bit that really gets me every watch is the moving finale...

"And it's Real you know <A True Result> this is not something that has been invented by a record company or promo agency through hype. It's a real communication going on between me and the people who like my stuff. And the pure reason they come because they like what I do. It's not because they've seen some video on MTV and they think wow that looks pretty succesful I'd better go and buy into that. They are not buying into my life style or how they perceive me as a star. All they are doing is they are enjoying my songs and my outlook on life.

...And they feel close to me and I feel close to them."

Yeah! It was a really good think to say. Sort of a nodd to TV's 21st Century fans from TV's biggest 20th Century fan.

I immediately thought: he's talking about us! (We should be proud to be TUTS!)  Smiley

Smit called last night. He's watched WE WHO WAIT for the first time.

He tought it was great.

His only dissapointment was the lack of focus on the solo albums as he feels these far out shine his work in the 70's and 80's.

I encouraged him to watch it again and see what he felt then.

For me the two solo albums that would have fit well into WE WHO WAIT were March of The Giants (the big change in TV's career) and Coming In To Land.

At least the two title tracks made it. Cheesy

What did you think of the documentary as a great unsung hero in TV's destiny Klaus?

Yeah. What brought that home for me was the first time I saw TV we spoke only briefly, but the next time I saw him he recognised me & approached me to say hello. I was touched by that.

True Nick.

Second time I met TV (the first was as the bar of course) was at the merch stand at The Duchess in Leeds. Teev shouted out "bloody hell he's bought the shop!" Grin

The second time was the "I once touched Gaye Adverts leg" story that appeared in Going There. It was at The Tanner Hop in Northallerton.

Okay admit who's still watching WE WHO WAIT?

 Embarrassed

Any new news from Jamie?

How can we help TV get The Ultimate TV Smith DVD released?

I can't stop thinking that Neil Gaiman@neilhimself (the most popular author on TVitter in the world with aproximately 1,734,898 followers and self confessed TV Smith fan might be able to help. After all Neil Himself is a member of The TUTS).

I went to the Adverts gig advertised at the bottom of the poster, and I've been a fan of T.V. Smith's ever since (and am currently reading his travel diaries, How To Feel Human).

Mind you I am a self confessed opTIMist who believes in THE posiTV.

This year (or early next year) we'll get re-releases of Sleaze, Cheap, Explorers, "March of the Giants" and more of the unreleased 80s demos! Do you TUTS think this has anything to do with a renewed interest after this TV docu? I think so!!  Smiley
