He hasn't written one book yet, he's planning to (as far as I understood).  :-\

He must have sleepless nights because of it, as his profile shows:

Well it says 01:30.25PM for your posting which you just put online. But it's 12.32 where I live, thus the timing in this forum is somehow incorrect anyway. And back then you were online late at night, which was the point.  :)
Buy some TV stuff as well, The Adverts were good, but he's released some real highlights within the last 10 years too!

Martin should write a book about it and Uli could review it!

I'm glad to see that you've ordered The Adverts first 45 Martin, but you should have bought their second - Bruno needs the royalties!

Boom! Boom!

I'm here all week folks!

Alright lads, 4+ months, trust all of you are well.

This NE Punk book is really coming together well now and I had a couple of TV questions.

1. Would TV be prepared to correspond with the books compiler, Richard, on documenting The Adverts NE appearances 77-79?
He was at these early shows, below extract from e chat re 77 Guildhall, Adverts, Warsaw (their 2nd) Penetration and The Big G

2. Does anyone have a contact for The Rejects Bruno?

Bruno Wizard, though I doubt that's his real name (?) Yes, please can you ask TV for a contact for Bruno and let me know. As you know, he's originally from Sunderland but moved to London in the mid-'70s and formed The Rejects. They're not strictly a NE band (as only Bruno is from up here) but I think they should be included in the book. I doubt TV remembers much about the gig - well he wasn't in the audience, nor Gaye, I'm sure they'd have stood out (well especially Gaye.) Though Johny Fusion says that he saw Hooky in the audience (he would certainly have stood out - there weren't many punks with beards!)  (Richard)

the book site is www.behance.net/gononthetyne

Cheers, Martin

Hm, I get this message:
"Oops! This page cannot be found"  :-\

Might be because without typo it works better!

I'm 99% certain he would, why doesn't he just contact him (details are on the website, or you can PM him through this forum etc.)?

Btw, I'm fine thank you. How are you? Did you listen to an Adverts 45 as promised?

Thank you very much Uli re typo and PM iformation.

yes the 1CW 45 is class, great intro, punchy riff and top lyric as you know.

btw. some daft punk
spoke to an English guy just yesterday who was in Dusseldorf as punk broke, failed to tape the chat and forgotten the club name, he HONESTLY said the punks would play the likes of The Adverts GGE and be pogoing furiously trying to nut (headbutt) the teabags they had suspended from the ceiling by threads!

cheers then, martin

ps Detour who run the bored teenagers website are issuing 77 lp 'i hate the whole human race' by harry hack and the big g the ncle band that supported The Adverts 1st 77 gig in our city, nov 17th. includes 'fuck the system' a long lost pop punk classic
