Will be a "ticket-only" event and these are expected to be on sale in around 2-weeks.

That was through "we got tickets", so perhaps that was only their allocation.  I have not been to Googies before, so cannot comment on the size of the venue.

I think some ticket outlets put small amounts up for sale at a time to encourage people to buy early, as if it appears that there are only a small amount of tickets left, they get bought earlier by punters keen not to miss out. You're more likely to buy immediately if there's only one ticket left than if there's hundreds of them. I'm slightly embarrassed to say that I do this kind of thing in my own line of work more often than I'm comfortable with  :(

Looked up the venue's website. It looks, erm, intimate

i.e. tiny  ;)

Funny enough, I was going to write something similar!  :)
Was in Folkestone over the weekend, before we met some friends for dinner, we had time to go into town and looked for a tea room, we found one and went in. Chrissie said there's a downstairs room where they apparently do gigs - which got me thinking "what was the name of that thing TV's gonna play?"!   ;)
Went downstairs and had a look. Yes it's tiny, but should be great for an intimate TV gig. And they do good tea & cakes etc. too!  8)
