Any TUTS going to Leeds or York?

The Brudenell is a first as a venue for me.

The Brudenell's a great venue-good local beers too. I should be at the York gig.
As for the later ones-Sunderland is sold out already.

Me and Mrs.S will def be in attendance at The New Cross Inn gig tomorrow.

Expecting to see the Fleags there, especially as it is Mrs Fleags' 21st Birthday again! ;D

With the barely/badly rehearsed Phobics in support, it's going to be a great night  :)

Not, sadly. Hope your Birthday was great all the same.

As for the gig...

Me and Mrs S arrived amidst icy Siberian blasts from the East and loud sonic booms emanating from within the New Cross Inn. These turned out to be blasting out from On Trial UK, who had the amps turned up to about 14. Good, but best heard from a safe distance. Like about a mile away!

As reported above, no Fleags present, but a few familiar faces in John Gillette and Sophie, some of the regular Phobics followers, assorted Deptford punks and, of course, Gaye.

The Phobics were up next and played their familiarly shambolic but honest set: Jeff fell into the drumkit at one point, Moynie dropped his plectrum and the band were left temporarily bassless as he scrabbled about the floor looking for it, whilst Tom advertised a great line in detatchable mics as his kept falling to pieces at inopportune moments. But you can't knock them for effort, especially when the promoter held 5 fingers up to them, indicating the amount of minutes they had left to play the last four songs, which they then proceeded to play at Warp Factor 10. Even Mrs S nudged me and said "They're playing these a bit quicker than normal, aren't they?" Playing so fast that they went backwards in time, to about 1976 by my reckoning, they were enthusiastically applauded off but not allowed the encore the crowd were demanding. Still...TV Times were upon us.

Mrs S had never seen TV play before, but got treated to an excellent gig from Tim and Leigh.

Set list:

Tomahawk Cruise
NTTB21
CITL
Expensive Being Poor
Luxury In Exile
Lion & The Lamb
Ready For The Axe To Drop
True Believers
You Saved My Life...
Buried By The Machine
In The Arms Of My Enemy
Perhaps The Good Times Are Back
GG
Bored Teenagers
OCW
The Servant
(missed the next song as a Russian bloke in the audience threw a drink over Mrs S by mistake!)
Runaway Train Driver

I'm still smiling and Helen wants to go to as many TV gigs as possible now, so it was a good night.

Just hope that Mrs Fleags enjoyed herself as much as we did  :)
